The location and facilities was good.nice pool and sea sport but free restaurants were not good .the main restaurant for dinner finish at 9:30!we paid for 5 star hotel but food and service were like 3 star.we had no choice to pay 30$ per person for having acceptable food in ala card restaurant.for each nice place in that hotel we should pay extra money.for nice beach we should pay 50$ PP.for good service we paid many tips all the nights.I really don't know what means all inclusive ?that means go to 5star hotel and pay lots of money for 3 star service ?!!

My family of four stayed here all inclusive in August 2012. The facilities were absolutely excellent. I agree with other reviewers that the service of bar staff in particular was very poor and the Mandarin restaurant was too - our sons were sick after eating there. Heavily favoured by Russian visitors there were plenty of families there, but also a few wealthy individuals just wanting to drink and party (day and night). Nothing wrong with that of course, but we had a very unfortunate experience where a lone male drunk patron held our son's head under the water in the main swimming pool (he also targeted two other children). No pool lifeguards anywhere. Rixos sells this as a family resort but I would question that integrity.

At first let us thank you for taking the time to share your opinions about the hotel Rixos Sungate on the page of Tripadvisor. The views and wishes of visitors help us develop and improve our services. Be sure that your comments will be on discussion of the Rixos Sungate Hotel management.

We apologize for all the inconvenience that you have experienced during your stay at Rixos Sungate. Let us expound some things:

Generally at each swıming pool and beach areas hotel provides a LifeGuards on a definate teritory for observing and ensuring necessary help. Hotel consısts of 14 swimming pools, where one of them is special for children in Rixy Kingdom. If guests visit a normal swimming pools with children where could come any guests of our hotel, their children must be controlled by their parents.

About Russian people we could say that as you know in the bars beverages are not limited that is why we cannot confine our guests to drink as much as they want, it is not about hotel and nationality - it is personality of each guest.

We regret that we learn of your grievances through the site Trip advisor, and not through personal conversation with you about Mandarin restaurant. Following the rules A'la Carte Restaurants requires a reservation in advance because restaurants need to know exactly how many guests will come for purchasing a certaing number of fresh-brought food.

Food is prepared by cookers on the day of delivery and only fresh ingredients are served. Rixos Sungate provides a quality of the product is strictly controlled and meets the highest requirements. Rixos Sungate Hotel is in operation with hygienic department where is a certain Food Engineering makes a full inspection and scanıng of the food. Each peace of edible substance is under the harsh surveillance. That is why till now we have not receieved such kind of information from the guests about A'la Carte restaurants in our hotel. By the way, we have been meeting 40-45 requires of guest for mandarin restaurant every day.

We are pleased that despite the overall negative impression you liked the facilities in Rixos Sungate Hotel. Each guest is very special and important for us that is why we would be happy to welcome you in our hotel over and over!

It is no question it is an enoumous and well run establishment. Staff was helpful and kind but working very hard. They are well trained and polite to the customer. The place is very clean and tidy. The only thing made me unhappy was that the place had so many customer but not enough staff. You have to wait almost an hour to get tring in center bar Lotus. The other thing is that you ar not able to use the facilities you see because they cost you extre!!! while those things looks nice for the brochure!
well on the other hand, of course it is and establishment to make money and in such big establishment not everything can be perfect. I am sure during quite time of the year it might be much better to visit.

To keep our service standards on the high level we do select and train our staff very carefully because each guest in Rixos Sungate is very essential for us. We strive our guests to get a satisfied recreation and pleasant memory. Thank you for being so attantive at our staff because your commendation is appreciated by Rixos Sungate Team.

To understand what is missing for successful work, an evaluation of the guests' feedbacks are needed what you have done. We carefully listen to our guests' evaluation which develops during direct communication.
We are very sorry that you had negative experience with service issues during your stay which is certainly not reflective of Rixos Sungate standards anymore that is why we would like to make some improvements to you:

Firstly, in Rixos Sungate Hotel the number of employees corresponds to the number of guests by specification quantity of employees and ıt is fully meet the requirement.
Secondly, let us inform you that Rixos Sungate Hotel consists of 16 primary bars on teritory plus stand-bars lengthwise the beach. The Lotus Bar is the mainest one where is SELF-SERVİCE. Guest is supposed to take what he wishes at the bar which is the pertty big where work our professional bartenders. But being that Rixos Sungate tries to provide as much comfort as it could to the guests - hotel has granted a special extra staff there who are waiters and waitresses on the rollers and ordinary as well. We are sorry that you have not been known such information.

Sadly, you have not concretized which facilities you meant exactly because Rixos Sungate Hotel provides a lot of facilities definetaly without any charge. You could find it on our website ''www.rixossungate.com''. Without any repudiation, on the teritory are some facilities by extra charge. But such kind of things are all over the world's hotels. With this ceremonial we do not have a difference with other hotels in the world. İn either event Rixos Hotel Sungate does not enforce any guest to pay for any service without their desire. Rixos Sungate is 5 stars and in our hotel 70% of the guests are repeated. If you could treat to Guest Relation Department when you were in our Hotel we would assist you as much as we could handle it but unfortunatelty, for some reasons you did not appeal to us. İt is so offensively that we found out about your mind threw webmailing. Anyway we would like to say that anytime do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to see you in Rixos Sungate Hotel again and on the next time Guest Relation Team will assist you from your check-in untill check-out, it would be a huge pleassure for us!

In august, me and my wife visited for the 10th time the Turkish seaside and, staying for two weeks in Rixos Sungate, it was the best experience we’ve ever had.
Room and amenities: large room with a sitting area; impressive surface and layout of the resort with a lot of large swimming pools, bars, restaurants, relax zones, beaches, piers, vegetation; in two weeks of stay we didn’t reach all the hotel interest points, despite the fact that we made little trips – for about 1 hour daily – in the resort, just to explore it.
The room and the public areas, very clean and well maintained.
The kids have their special area (with pool, show amphitheater, restaurant, mini zoo and lots of other specific things) where they can spend all day long.
Main restaurant (Turquoise) – good food, not extremely refined but tasty and varied, good wine (we tested the red and rose), and also it was very easy to find a table on the terrace. Good service of the waiters too, even when they seemed to be a little overwhelmed.
A la carte restaurants: we visited Mexican, Turkish, Fantasy - more or less included in the UAI, and all in all it was OK.
Seafood Mermaid restaurant is not a real sea food Restaurant, it’s more a fish restaurant; you can choose between some kinds of fish which you can find every evening in the main restaurant and you pay 30 dollars/person for that. If you want seafood for the main course you should pay an extra price….which is not very low.
The bars.
Good quality included beverage (eg: Chivas Regal, Jack Daniels, Metaxa 7 stars) and, in mostly of the situations, good service.
At the main bar (Lotus), mostly during the rush hours, the bartenders and especially the waiters seemed not to be well-organized, but the most of them did their best to serve you.
Entertainment (in my opinion, the main asset of this resort )- marvelous, the best I’ve seen in Turkey, and not only. Really it was impossible to get bored. Every day, a very varied and dynamic animation program. You can do all you want from volley to aqua gym, aerobic, Kangoo Jumps, Zumba, dance lessons and so on. Very nice special parties (pool party, foam party and some others in the Alara show center) with lots of fun and good atmosphere.
Also, some of the shows performed in the evening were very interesting.
The animation team was very good and very dedicated to his work (and especially Erdal, Iulia, Oksana, Emre, Alex).
Not to miss: the night boat trip; you can take a free boat trip between 09.30-11.00 pm (with beverage and snacks served on board), which is another pleasant way to spend an evening.
Things to improve: some of the reception personnel and even from the guest relation speaks a pretty poor English.
The main drawback of this hotel (which, unfortunately, is valid for almost all the resorts in Turkey), the massive presence of the Russian guests (or anyway Russian language speakers). Some of them have very bad manners and you can feel that almost everywhere (at the restaurants, bars, in the pool or at the toilet). But if you take it easy you can live with that.
Although, it is not in our habit to go for a second time in the same place, this time we consider very seriously to come back the next year. Hope that Rixos Sungate will be able to keep (and even improve) its standards.

At the beginning let us convey our admiration of your judgment about our hotel. Amazing comprehensive description! We are so delighted that we have such attentive guests as you because Rixos Sungate Team makes an effort to achieve complete satisfaction of each guest and when we find out that our guests were so contented through TripAdvisor our hotel obtains an inspirations to improve increasingly for our customers!

We are so sorry that you have collided with guests who spoke russian with not so nice manners. Unfortunately you have got such expirience but it could happen because there is a lot of identities and personalities. Nationality and language of speech are not playing any role in this point of fact. İt is all about human nature.

What we could say about staff's ignorance of English language: We have got a qualified staff and all of them pass particular verification of language skills.Thank you for reprimands and be assured that nothing you have said will be left behind.

Rixos Sungate Team hopes that you will please us by your visit to our hotel over and over again!

Hotel location was very good but very bad service and food was shocking every one in 5 days of our stay we paid 500 usd to the waiters and barman to service us.good restaurant were not free and all good places were VIP and payable I would never go ther and suggest it.
