How great to save at a place where there are friendly staff, nice meals and a clean safe room.
Pool looked great but weather was a bit cool - probably next year .
Great also that the staff were able to act as a translator
Thanks guys for looking after me.

I found the hotel a bit pricey and they are definitely taking advantage of the fact that there is not much to offer in accommodation in Tete. Apart from that the hotel staff are freandly and the hotel is modern. Rooms are a bit small, also I practically flooded my room every time I had a shower due to the poor design. The rooms offer great views of the river and the huge pool. The most disappointing aspect of the hotel was the poor quality and variety of the food at breakfast and at supper.

The rooms at VIP Executivo are quite spacious and very clean. There is a small balcony with a great view of the Zambezi and the toll-road bridge. The only time that you can hear passing traffic is when you open the balcony door. Rooms are air conditioned. There is a choice of 2 bars at which to drink an ice cold beer, inside the main building or at the edge of the swimming pool. Although there is not a large selection of food on the menu, the food available is quite good.

Room tip: All rooms face toward the Zambezi river

This hotel is not bad at all. Clean and comfortable. Internet is working properly and rooms are spacious. Breakfast is good and the restaurant within hotel premises is of an acceptable quality. It is a bit expensive and there is no gym, but definitely one of the best option in town

The hotel is new, fairly well built (not too many shoddy Chinese fittings in evidence) and beautifully situated with views of the Zambezi. Free transfers from/to the airport. But it shows the all too common syndrome: someone had a lot of money to invest in a fancy hotel but forgot to hire people with proper training in hotel management and operations. So the reception is shambolic, staffed by cheerful but clearly inexperienced, slow, disorganised young people. Lunch in the deserted restaurant was extremely slow; many items on the menu were not available; eventually they brought a dish I hadn't ordered, but I ate it anyway. For such an expensive hotel, the breakfast was remarkably poor: a lot of one-star hotels do better. The rooms are nice, but overall this hotel is far too expensive for the quality of services provided.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view of the river (see my photo).
