Spent the weekend in Thornbury and six of us enjoyed a most pleasant lunch on the patio of the Bridge Tavern. Good menu and well presented plates. Good selection of local and international beers, very good service, would highly recommend and will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

We were visiting Thornbury the day after Canada Day and decided to stop in for bite to eat at this location Right from the start we were greeted by three servers , which was nice . Then we were seated and our server Jill came over took our drink order and followed afterwords with our food order. Very courteous and went over the menu answering any questions we had. Food was great and Jill was very pleasant. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend. Thank you for making our first visit a great one.

Great spot and beautiful patio.

I was at Bridges the other day and had a great beet salad and the best sweet potato fries! Our server Harris was very sweet and was constantly checking in on us making sure we were well looked after. The view was absolutely breath taking and I highly recommend visiting the patio as it looks out upon the beautiful mill pond. The live music was a great addition and created a fun atmosphere for all. I would recommend this restaurant to any family because overall it was an amazing experience!

While Bridges may boast about their wonderful patio, they maybe need to better train their young staff to handle it when it is a hot, busy Sunday.
We were quickly seated by a nice young man, just outside the door going from the patio, into the bar area.
We sat for 15 minutes with three different wait staff passing by us NUMEROUS times, seemingly ignoring our presence; not asking if we would like to order food or get a drink.
This is the second time this restaurant has struck out, and we will not be back.
We drove across the bridge to The Mill where we were greeted with a smile, seated on the patio at a lovely table in the shade, received our drinks quickly and food within 30 minutes and left happy as always!

Bridges was highly praised and recommended to us by a friend, and given the other great reviews online we were excited to give it a try. I'm not sure if we went to the right place. We had an absolutely terrible experience. We waited on the patio for 15 minutes with servers walking right past us before we decided to flag one down to take our order. We then waited over an hour for our food - just a chicken sandwich, a salad and some chips and dip - and were told it was because the kitchen was busy, even though others around us who arrived later were being served before us. The chips and guacamole were okay. My beet salad was good but had no dressing on it and was pretty small for a $15 "big salad". My friend's chicken sandwich was raw (I don't know how you can take an hour to cook a small chicken breast and still have it turn out raw). We informed our server, who apologized but didn't do anything about it. We asked for our bill and the raw chicken sandwich was not taken off. We asked for it to be removed and our server said she would have to ask her manager. Why she didn't before, when we showed her the raw chicken, is beyond me. No one seemed to want to notice or take responsibility for this dangerous error. Overall, the food we could eat was mediocre and service was barely there. Would not recommend and will not be going there again.
