I was scared first when we booked this hotel because of previous reviews on trip advisor.

This is a family type of hotel and it was VERY CLEAN! (room, breakfast and dining room)

*Stuff* - very kind, always there to help you!

In price we had included (Pool, bikes, sauna).

Food was tasty (soup, main corse, dessert) drinks you must paying extra.
-Breakfast (wurst, eggs, salads, butter, variations of cheese, variations of hams, jams, milk, variations of tea, coffee...

On first floor there is room for kids with toys... There is also small tea kitchen with fridge, microwave and kettle. ☕️

One thing was just annoying there... People who are letting children to cry for no reason and to run while you are eating...

We will come back!
Recommend!

Not expecting some true german luxury, the hotel itself was more of the standard. I would sum it uo with a list of the following pros and cons for you to help to decide whether it's a choice for you.
Pros:
+ Nice staff (they smile and are kinda opened to tell you evertyhing when they ARE THERE)
+ fantastic surroudings
+ pleasant bonus services such as infra-red sauna, table footbal, billiard, hockey or an option to boorow bicycles

Cons:
- the bottom part with the recepiton is opened only during limited hours a day thus you cannot enjoy any late evening drinks or relaxation in the evening hours there
- the food is really well... too fatty and heavy without any option to choose
- wifi only in the bottom part of the building, eventhough it claims it has got wifi

If you like hiking and cycling and you want to be accomodated in a location from which wonderful wonders (lakes/parks) are at reach by car or bicycle, you should give it a try just dont expect some super luxury. The rooms are clean.

Room Tip: All of the higher floors dont have access to wifi

Rooms are spartanic; room service does not exist. Bathroom was substandard (no shower or bathtub curtain, no shampoo, only liquid soap bottle, damaged door). Total rate (Gesamtpreis) of E 174 consisting of room charge and a tax became E 185.40 by adding another tax.when checking out. Hotel did not accept Visa credit card despite offering credit card service on hotel webpage. There is no taxi service available in Bayerisch Eisenstein. Hotel offers short tranportation service in brochure in room. When asking for this service (trip to railway station), the service was not available, meaning that I had to pull my suitcase over rough cobble stone pavement for 15 to 20 minutes. - One morning there was a rotten apple in a dish on the breakfast table.
