We had a wedding at Nora Buri over Jan 2012. The place was amazing the staff were so friendly and helpful. They loved our 9 yr old always talking to him at breakfast and at the pool.

We had a sea view room the walk up the hill was rather tough but the view was amazing. The rooms very clean and spacious.

The food was amazing, all you can imagine of a buffet.

The ocean was a bit rocky at the edge but apart from that safe and clean.

The resort is away from the business-ness of Chewang, but close enough to visit shops and markets.

The two pools are amazing too :)

Room Tip: If you are not fit pick a room that is close to the pools, otherwise its a steep walk up a hill.

We stayed at Nora Buri for the first week of our honeymoon in January.

We arrived exhausted after almost 24 hours of travelling and were so warmly welcomed, we almost forgot about how tired we were.

We stayed in a hillside pool villa which was absolutely amazing and we'd highly recommend this option to anyone staying there. The walk up the hill from reception is pretty steep but it's necessary to work off all the delicious Thai food you'll be eating! There is the option of getting one of the provided golf carts up to your room each time, but the walk isn't too bad.

Breakfast included virtually everything you could possibly think of and was all cooked beautifully. We were hesitant about some foods for fear of getting sick, but in the end we ate everything and didn't get sick once.

As far as location is concerned, it's nice and close to the airport without actually being able to hear the planes arrive and depart; it's close enough to Chaweng to be able to easily access the shops and happenings of the island, and at the same time far enough away to be able to avoid the party scene.

The staff are incredibly helpful and lovely, the views are spectacular, and everything is maintained and kept to an impeccable level.

We had done a considerable amount of research trying to find the perfect place to stay in Koh Samui and we were blown away by the accommodations and service at Nora Buri. We would not only highly recommend others stay here, but would stay here time and time again given the opportunity!!

A very new, clean & efficient hotel with good rooms, facilities, pool & food.
On the side of the hill so you need strong legs to climb & descend (or take the most expensive beach side ones).
2 pools with different character.
Good food.
Ideal if you want peace, rest & to be spoilt. It's outside Chaweng so is much calmer but not that far to go
If you want fun & wild parties then there are many better places, but it depends on what you want.
Only remark is that the staff sometimes over did the Thai welcome performance & it seemed a bit plastic: but hey, now I'm really getting picky.
