We stayed here for a ski trip for a week.

Negative(s)
- owner was maniac who shouted at his staff and even made them cry
- absolutely shambolic organization. Bills and orders were wrong.
- when we checked out, as said above, the bill was wrong, we explained the errors (they charged us for cans of soft drink we didn't have but didn't charge us for wine etc). We corrected the bill for them (which was more) and then realised they were charging us more for the wine than listed on the menu. When we pointed this out the staff attempted to correct the bill (charging us 9 in stead of 10, as per the menu). The owner refused to allow the staff to change the charge, and was shouting, ranting and raving at his staff. This owner deserves no business.
- food was no good, well below par for any restaurant, small portions, no effort. Would rather have own kitchen.
- pretty sure the owner kept turnign off the heating in the rooms. Had to keep going down the reception to get them to turn it on again
- internet never worked (never). Too much faffing around with reception to enable internet then it never worked, multiple attempts. Everyone gave up trying
- ski-bus never was practical, was quicker to walk than to wait for their shuttle bus.

positives;
- convenient place to store ski gear
- had a warm pool below the building
- might be ok for large groups and families
- we were skiing so that's fun

Nice hotel and staff. Good location to base for ski school or to access the mountains with good hotel shuttle bus service. Campitello is a good small town to be based in for easy to access the mountains.
The hotel is rated 4 stars but many people have written reviews saying the rooms are not up to scratch. This is true. At best 3 stars. The 5-floor suits are pretty ok good sized bathroom. But some of the other rooms are in need of renovation and updating. The hotel has obviously recently been upgraded with new spa facilities and many of the street signs in the town still have it as a 3-stars hotel. I'm sure the other hotel rooms will get improved soon. I certainly would not be put off.

The hotel has a nice family-run atmosphere. Really nice staff, helpful and kind. Kitchens make up for the poor rooms. We stayed 1/2 board and the evening dinners were really fantastic. With lots of variety and local foods to try.

Definitely recommend. And when the rooms get upgraded the place will be really very good.

Room Tip: As for a room facing forward towards the town. These rooms have good views. Back facing, looks at the steep hill and trees and not much to look at.

I booked the hotel for my ski vacation. The hotel is located in Campitello Di Fassa. The distance to the lift is too long to walk there, considering the hotel is located very high, so there's an up hill. There are shuttles from the hotel to the lift. Overall, I didn't find the lift from Campitello very convenient. The ques were very long and there are only 2 lifts going up and down. We preferred taking the ski bus (3-5 minutes ride) to Canazei and take the lifts from there, which are much more efficient.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The receptionist Aida always tried helping us and making sure everything is being well addressed.
The food was good, but as a vegetarian there was a very little choice for me. I don't know if this is an Italian tradition, but everything seems to be with meat. Nevertheless the local staff always tried find a vegetarian solutions for me.
I gave the spa a low rate mostly because it was very noisy. A sauna is a place to relax and there people there very noisy and amused. I found it very hard to relax in the sauna that way. I think the hotel should be aware of that and make sure the code of the place is being kept, otherwise you miss the whole point of relaxing in the spa.

We were a group of 3 skiers . we have used 3 single rooms 8/3/14 - 15/3/14. Hotel is very good
Hotel reception - Aida was great with helping us in every issue we had. We have bought local Italian SIM card with TRE comapny that gave us 3G for data but never warned us that no Roaming i is allowed so after 2 days our budget of 3G ended . Since everything was in Italian - Aida was extremely helpful with clarifying and communicating the TRE support. She really went out of the way to help us.
Unfortunately we got No refund and were offered another deal which of we refused. Aida offred us free Wi-Fi " on the house" which proved to be good and allowed us surfing and skyping !!

Food was good with huge potions ,thyere was no issue to modify your order in real time or get another option just to taste. Great Jacuzzi system with 5 different options to massage .
They have a daily small buss that brings / takes from Campitello funival.

I would for sure recommend this hotel !!!

Regards

Zvi

Stayed in the Stella Montis with a group of skiers. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Good size bedrooms with super bathrooms. Overall very good standard of accommodation. Good health and wellness facilities. Food good, plenty of choices but the salad bar a bit boring after a few days.
