We were traveling through the area and after seeing a brochure at our hotel for this windmill, decided to make a detour and visit.
Unfortunately, the windmill and adjacent museum was closed so we were only able to see from outside the fence.
However, the windmill was still impressive and we were glad we took the time to stop by.
There was a large free parking area at the windmill.
The windmill is located atop a hill and while we were there, the wind was blowing very hard. We can see why this spot was chosen. The views of the surrounding countryside were wonderful and are themselves worth the drive.
