Wonderful views of the Cliffs, La Gomera and the port. The apartment was clean and the items provided were good. However, there was a lack of some basic equipment. There was no CD/DVD player so all the CD's we had brought were useless. No music for two weeks! No microwave, no plugs for the bath or washbasin, the sheets on the beds were improvised and inadequate duvet covers (which would not stay on the beds). No casserole dish for the oven (how are we supposed to cook?) and no tray. We had to buy 3 wine glasses as the ones provided were enormous. If a little money was spent on this apartment it would be excellent, but it cannot be a LUXURY apartment until then.
Wanted a good base to see Tenerife for the first time and this seemed ideal for location and facilities, within striking distance of Siam Waterpark (Las Americas), Loro Park (Puerto de la Cruz) and Mount Teide - all places we wanted to visit.
We found the apartment was as good as it looked online. An amazing view from the huge terrace, a decent pool (located a small flight of stairs up from the apartment) and a convenient, if hilly, walk from Los Gigantes town and harbour.
A nice touch was that it was also stocked with a bottle of water in the fridge, plus a bottle of wine as a welcome.
Also provided were essentials like washing-up liquid and brushes etc that are often missing, while tea, coffee and sugar were all there as well. There was also a small dishwasher and washing machine, with good wifi both in the apartment and by the pool. Basically all that could reasonably be expected.
There were only two downsides - the apartment temperature and the beds.
As it was often 36C outside, and 28C at night, there's no real complaint about the temperature. Aircon would have been nice, but both bedrooms had effective ceiling fans and we all adapted to the heat quickly.
However, the beds were a different matter. It's a subjective thing, but I prefer a medium-rated mattress while my wife has no problem with a firm one. However, even she found them a bit hard for comfort.
It's understandable that a rental apartment needs hard-wearing beds, and most go for the firm stuff, but these were harder than I've even come across (perhaps brand new and not worn-in?).
I had to resort to placing a cushion from the provided sunloungers on my side of the bed in an attempt to get some comfort, something copied by my teenage daughter who previously had proven able to sleep anywhere on anything with no issue.
Overall this was a terrific apartment and this would have been a five-star rating but for those beds. Would be delighted to stay again if they get sorted.
Spacious stylish apartments with terace & wonderful sea and mountains view, clean and silent surroundings, pool, close to Los Gigantes center and beach. Our family spent dream holidays here! Definitely coming back soon:)
