As a family of 3 we stayed in an apartment in the Villa, which is down the road from the main hotel. The apartment looked straight out over the water with an amazing view. The design was slightly quirky, but allowed for two bedrooms with a fair amount of space. A little table and a kitchenette meant we could have breakfast or a light meal in the room. The apartment was clean and beds comfortable.

Though there is a walk of about 5 minutes back to the hotel we didn't find this a problem. We ate breakfast in the hotel and it was a good range of continental fair. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The swimming pool was a little small, but was heated and had a number of water jets (like a hot tub) and one that was strong enough to swim into. We didn't use the bar but it looked comfortable. Though there was no dedicated parking we were able to park very close to the Villa building every day.

There was free wifi in the Villa, which worked perfectly.

Though the hotel has no restaurant, it is a short walk into the village where there are a number of restaurants of different types.

The area is beautiful, with lots of water based activities and beaches. On the whole though we enjoyed the stay we felt that the room quality could have been just a bit better for the price and that ultimately you are paying for the location in the village and the fantastic views. All in all, if you are happy with the price I'd recommended it.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor apartment looking out over the sea in the Villa building.

Leaves you wondering how the villa got 4 stars. No elevator. What happens in case of fire, how to get out? No smoke detector detected or escape possibility seen.

Distance between villa and hotel inconvenient. No dedicated parking place for guests, not surveilled either. Apartment smaller then expected. Shower in bathtub. Breakfast nice. No restaurant. Overall we feel there is a considerable mismatch between elevated price and quality of service and housing offered.

We spent three nights here on a Brittany Ferries deal. Jacques le patron, gave us a warm welcome and his colleagues were very helpful with advice on restaurants, even booking for us - It helps to speak a little French! The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the included breakfast was generous and served in a lovely room overlooking the bay. There is a comfy, quirky, lounge bar with engulfing sofas and cushions - drinks and snacks are available and we enjoyed the reasonably-priced "apperos".each evening before eating out. The room that was part of our deal was well-equipped but rather small, and we would pay for an upgrade should we visit again. We did not use the spa. Parking can be a walk of 100/150 metres away from the hotel and the stairs would be a challenge for anyone with disabilities.. A most enjoyable stay and the staff were a real plus.

Room Tip: I would recommend upgrading from the basic rooms.

We splashed out on a two-night package including a spa treatment each, over a quiet weeked in January, and were very impressed. The hotel itself is lovely; just the right size to have good facilities but still feel personal. Our "suite grand large", comprising bedroom, living room and bathroom, was very well appointed, and had good views out to sea. The welcome and service from the staff was exceptional, and the breakfasts - delivered to the room - were outstanding, in quality and quantity. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, but there are some great options within walking distance in l'Aber Wrac'h. I was pleasantly surprised how big the pool was, and because of the time of year we had it mostly to ourselves. The spa offers a range of treatmants; I had a back massage and my wife a facial, each 30 mins. We agreed that both were very relaxing, but not that imaginative or outstanding in technique. In summary, I feel that this hotel can be enjoyed best in the off-season (in summer I'd imagine it would feel crowded if there were many guests) and loses a star only because of the price which is definitely at the upper end of the scale.

Room Tip: Room no.1 (a "suite grand large") was very well appointed, with good views out to sea. I'd imagine it might be a bit noisy in peak season as it's on the first floor over the reception and overlooks the main road past the hotel.

The views from this hotel are very nice but that's about it. The rooms are shabby and becoming run down and very expensive for what you get. The breakfast was also poor for the price. Generally we were very disappointed.
