We were taken from Belize Airport and brought in a van to a private dock. Captain Hyro took us to the island. It lasts about 25 minutes. At our island arrival, the sweet Shirlyn was here to welcome us and Aron, our bartender and waiter had a few lemonades for us.
Then Sherlyn took us to our two bedrooms bungalow right on the water. We were with bro and sis in law, yet we took two bungalow as we ned it was low season.
The bungalows are on the pristine blue beach. Just amazing.
Benny took us canoe and snorkelling as well around the island. He is an amazing man
We had fun playing petanque with Sherlyn and Aron while sipping cocktails.
All was just amazing.

We will be back for sure very very soon and for more than two nights

Room tip: Ask Sherlyn for a taste of her mosquito repellent...I have the recipe and it works so well

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a secluded little island, this would be the place for you. Very personable staff and very attentive to your needs and wants. Although it rained half of time, we made the best of the trip.

Royal Palm Caye resort was one of the best places for us to discover Belize for the first time. The island and surroundings are just so beautiful and peaceful. It is the perfect clear turquoise water, Palm trees, and white sand type of destination. Our private bungalow was very spacious and well furnished. The customer service there was outstanding. Our waiter/bar tender Roberto took great care of us at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Matthew the chef, cooked delicious fresh food for us every day, and was able to accommodate our restricted diet very well. Hyro the boat captain took us on a snorkel excursion of a life time, where we swam along with sharks, stingrays, and great sea turtles, among other species. Ms Claire took great care of our room every day, and Sherlyn the manager was never very far, should we needed her assistance with anything. Everyone was very professional and super pleasant. They made our experience even greater by taking care of us so well. And transferring from their sister jungle resort (Dream Valley Resort) mid week was the right call. Offering that option of visiting two resorts, in two very different environments (rain forest and private island), allowed us to discover Belize in the best possible way.

From the moment our "captain" Hiroh greeted us when we boarded the motorboat for the exhilarating ride to this private island, we knew we were heading somewhere special. Upon disembarking we were greeting by the lovely and efficient manager, Sheryln, who showed us around and escorted us to our bjjoux villa, which was beautifully and eclectically appointed with stunning water views all around. We were looked after splendidly by chef Matt, Jerome, and Roberto both at meals and at the bar. Various local water activities are available, although having just returned from our jungle visit at their sister lodge, Dream Valley, we preferred to just relax and take smaller motorboat trips around the adjacent islands and enjoy the barefoot-chic ambiance. The food was fresh and delicious, and every request was accommodated enthusiastically. There is nothing like being on a private island, although the only disappointment was unfortunately having to leave.

I didn't realize I hadn't published this review SOONER, I guess I was in post-wedding haze for a bit there. But, I wanted to be sure to fix that. My husband and I chose Royal Palm Island Resort for our wedding ceremony because of the peace, quiet, and tranquility the island and the professionals there offered. We wanted a beautiful small ceremony with just us, a minister, a fun photographer, the lovely people at the resort, and whoever else wanted to view our fun, happy, and loving exchanging of vows. I could go on and on, but I will suffice it to say that they took care of our every need. We loved the cabana we stayed in and relished in the peace and quiet of this treasure (we live in Washington, D.C., where everything is LOUD) and we really wanted to unwind and relax before our ceremony. We were there for over a week with our wedding landing in the middle, and I can honestly say, we never wanted for a thing. We loved breakfast on our patio, awesomely delivered by Roddy, who also tended the bar, provided friendly chit-chat, and took our dining orders. It was really nice seeing the same faces each day. It was comforting. Sherlyn kept everything on the island running in ship-shape with her team, and she even did my hair for my wedding and had a friend help with my makeup, which was much appreciated since I didn't plan for that AT ALL. Sherlyn arranged all of this without me even asking her to, so if that's not being taken care of, I am not sure what is!. Jiro safely got us where we needed to go by boat, to and from the island, on an excursion to Caye Caulker, and was very knowledgeable. Jiro found his way peacefully into the areas where we were able to reach out and touch manatees and dolphins without disturbing their environments. He's a rockstar. He also boated our photographer and his crew around to get some difficult to catch, "Trash the Dress" photos, which we treasure. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our amazing photographer Richard Holder of Richard Holder Photoghty, Belize City, BZ. We were so happy to have everyone there for our day. This place is a treasure, and the island and all of the people who helped us create our "forever memories" will always hold a very special place in our hearts. You made our wedding and our trip unforgettable. What a special way to start our marriage! Thank you.
