The food has a good presentation, was fresh and good, but the service is very unfriendly they dont make you feel welcome, also delayed a lot of time so keep in mind yiu can not do more plans the afternoon if you go there! It takes ages after every plate!!!! Also is so few food that yoy are very hungry still... for 102 euros without wine i find this very expensive, quality and price not realistic, also unfriendly personal. There are better restaurants in the area for sure! With same price but higher quality food.
Also the food card is nothing vegetarian or vegan is just few thingd and the rest just menus for min 45 euros per person exc drinks. My opinion dont waste your money there!

Last time it was a Valentine's Day menu several years ago; this time it was for the Christmas Dinner menu. Memory served well enough to remember that the Valentine's visit had been memorable; that was enough grounds to try once again, and without further ado can only say -- that evening established this restaurant as in a league WAY outside of anything else in this region. The Christmas menu with pre-chosen wines to fit each of the 6 courses was sensational, and I'm not one to use such compliments lightly. Not a food critic nor Michelin-star expert (there are enough commentaries here on TA along those lines with details that will confirm my commentary), experience and a trust in personal good taste makes the compliment absolutely just. It has been a LONG time since I experienced such an all-around fulfilling and satisfying evening dinner!

The ambiance is excellent; service superb; advice 100% reliable. Sound too good to be true? All I can say is ... find out for yourselves. True -- this is also a restaurant in a higher price category -- must be said as well, but that is no surprise considering that in this region there is nothing equal to Casa del Maco. This is the Major League. Take the chance to find out -- it's extremely well worth it.

Great find on our road trip between Alicante and Valencia which fortunately had 2 rooms available

We had the set menu which was A' la Carte and worth every penny

The pool area was great (to cold this time of year to use) with great views.

Unfortunately unless you want A la Carte meals every night there seems to be no other options for a snack etc so would be very expensive to stay more than a day or two unless you have

We had 2 rooms, one with a Therapeutic bath, which I would recommend you seriously think about before using.
We have had one, so knew first to flush out the internal water jets by water first, to remove any debris etc.
Unfortunately this did not do trick and my wife was covered in black Unknown debris etc
Also the water was Luke warm, which was not pleasant

The staff though we're great and very welcoming and apart from the bath issue, would recommend a night or more ( if you have deep pockets for food, which is though worth every penny) stay in this lovely restaurant/ Hotel

We have celebrated New Year’s Eve the last 5 years here and they consistently deliver high quality and very tasty menus and arrangements, always friendly service with a big smile.

I have not tested the hotel yet but it is on my to-do list.

The restaurant/hotel is located a bit off the main road but it is well worth the small detour!

From beginning to end of our second visit our experience at this restaurant even surpassed the first one. Beginning with the appetizers to end with the dessert of our 6 course dinner of that evening including the wines, the dishes all were mouthwatering delicious and presented to perfection; the choice of wines was extraordinarily well done, augmenting the joy of the tastes of the different and imaginative dishes. The service was not only professional but one could also feel the passion of the sommelier when he explained the different wines and the reason for his choices. I have not eaten at any of the starred restaurants in the Calpe-Benissa-Javea area lately but I would like to rate Casa del Maco as the one that surpasses all the others in its combination of professionalism, beauty, style and quality of the dishes.
