“Great place to stay in Spello”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We stayed 3 nights in the Cleopatra suite. It had all the amenities you require and was quiet and cool, despite temperatures in the mid 30s outside and roadworks being completed on the cobbled foot paths. The views are breathtaking.

Gina and Nadia were very helpful and the restaurant suggestions were perfect.

Spello is a magical town and this is a great place to stay while you're there.

“Fantastic Location, Great Houses”

We stayed in the Augustus and Tiberius apartments for 10 nights in April 2014 and had a wonderful time. My parents stayed in one apartment and we stayed in the other with our three children. This is a wonderful base from which to see Umbria. It's high in the hilltop town of Spello, but a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. We even walked all the way to the hilltop town of Collepino (a walk I highly recommend (but leave a whole day to do it!!) From Spello we explored many nearby towns Trevi, Montefalco, Assisi etc. The houses themselves, were clean, neat and very homey. Nadia, who greeted us and helped out when the smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night is a great asset. Everything about our stay was fantastic.

“Perfect Location in Perfect Umbrian Hill Town”
Reviewed 22 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Three ladies of a certain age enjoyed one week here -- we each had our own bedrooms which was a plus. It was nice to have two full baths and a beautiful scented garden to take to for quiet time. The hosts know everyone in town so you are quickly familiar with the lay of the beautiful land that is Umbria. We got to know the best bakery, gellateria, cafe, restaurants, specialty shops. One of our finest days was taking a hike to another hill town, Collepino. Wonderful views the whole way. It's really easy to meet the other guests if you want to be social and we even made friends with other travelers -- the town is that small and friendly.
A definite advantage was being able to take a 20 minute walk to the train for a day trip to Assisi.
