We had the pleasure of dining here to celebrate my Girlfriends birthday. As soon as we entered we were greeted by warmth from all the staff.

This cozy, picturesque restaurant offered us the most delicious meal. The food and cocktails were fantastic and the complementary champagne and birthday cake in honour of the occasion was a lovely added touch.

We left stuffed and very happy feeling like we had just left a friend's home.

A special Thanks to the warm, happy and enthusiastic staff for making it a night to remember.

Last season as a party of four we dined at Blanchards twice. First time wasn't spectacular but OK - second time wasn't.
A couple of nights ago we (the same four of us) gave them another try and as it turned out this will be the last time. You get the distinct feeling from the time you sit down to the time you pay that they couldn't care less and that they cannot get you out of the door soon enough. So much for the service.
We had their set menu at USD 49 + service(!) each and a couple of btls. of wine. All told USD 350. At that price you can live with poor service - you can just tell them how to do their job and to bugger off when they annoy you. But if the quality of the meal is poor as well it is not money well spent and an evening wasted: The starter was an uninteresting pasta. Most of us had bone dry Mahi Mahi as the main course. We ought to have sent it out but even though the place was almost empty no staff were to be seen. Dessert was ice cream made without the cream.
The only time we had the staff's attention was when they presented the bill and came running every 30 seconds to get the payment.

We have eaten at Blanchards restaurant many times and feel it is going downhill and living on its reputation. We dined as a group of 4 a few days after it had reopened for the season and there were only a few other tables occupied so certainly weren't run of their feet. It's a lovely location and setting but clearly let down by the staff training ... When ordering x2 bottles of wine the waitress was only interested in the bin No even though she was given a very clear description of what we wanted. We asked for extra butter that never arrived, we had to leave our seats to ask someone for pepper. We felt the fish was rather dry. We were presented with the bill and within minutes someone came to take payment ( we were still chatting and hadn't checked it) another minute and someone else came... And finally after about 5 minutes a third person came over to take the check - we were really made to feel they wanted to close and go home. You don't expect this sort of service for a bill of $350+. Unfortunately as much as we like the setting we will not be returning.

We visit Blanchards every time we have visited Anguilla. It is one our favorite spots. The first night we were there, we showed up with reservations and were turned away because of a power issue. We came back the following evening and were offered a complimentary glass of champagne for our troubles the previous night. Food was good - not as great as we have come to expect from Blanchards (perhaps an off night). We were seated at a corner table with absolutely no airflow or near a ceiling fan. It was uncomfortably warm. Place was packed as usual. We will go back but there are a lot of great alternatives as well.
