Visited Masham for 3 days in March and called in for a afternoon drink after visiting various places in the area. We received a warm welcome from the staff and sat in the window overlooking the square, the pub was very busy serving food which looked amazing. I believe that they only have 2 guest bedrooms here that is why we didn’t book a stay but would recommend a visit to this traditional pub

Enjoyed a lovely meal with friends. The service was warm and friendly in this cosy pub. There was a mid-week ‘soft menu’ so not everything on their full menu was available but, nonetheless, there was a good choice and the food was plentiful and excellent.

We ate and drank at the Bruce Arms on two occasions w/c 17/2/2018. Brian and Jean made us and our 3 1/2 year old Tibetan Terrier Flo very welcome. The food was good and the beer kept very well. Lovely little pub and great atmosphere.

Family of four called for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Warm welcome and directed to the bar for drinks and told food order will be taken shortly. Drinks ordered and tab opened and sat at the table with a drink. Often told by waitress ‘will be with you shortly’, to then watch several other tables who arrived after us get served. In the end we left to eat else where. Requested the bill for the drinks. Full price. Explained why we were leaving and told we should have drawn more attention to the fact we were being ignored. Was expecting someone to ‘be with us shortly’ as told, several times.
