We were a group of four adults who were travelling to Corfu for the first time and who just wanted to relax for a week. This villa was the perfect place to unwind and forget about London.
When we arrived, was struck us first was it's incredible outlook over the rolling mountains and the blue Ionian sea. The house has been designed to face the stunning view, so almost every room as huge windows with mountains and sea always in sight.
The villa was spotless when we arrived and there was plenty of space for four adults to roam around and not be under each other's feet.
We spend every morning having breakfast on the patio and most afternoons chilling by the pool and looking out at the breath taking views. We did manage to peel ourselves away from the property a few times, exploring neighbouring Acharavi, Kassopi and Paxos (by boat). The surrounding areas were all picturesque but we were most struck by how laid back and friendly the locals were. You could just chill in a Taverna for hours and not be hassled by the waiting staff. The local fresh fish was gorgeous too and served in almost every Taverna.
Acharavi is only 10 minutes by car and has many Tavernas, bars and supermarkets (to buy meat and fish for the BBQ!) but our favourite eatery was down on Almerie beach (just before Acharavi) called George's Taverna. It's by the sea and does great sea food and the owner gave us a lovely welcome both times we showed up.
Corfu is very small so we got around loads but we were always eager to get back to the gorgeous villa and just chill. We were very sad to leave and will certainly be returning again.
