“Well equipped property in serene environment”
Reviewed 17 March 2016 for a stay in April 2014

A large, well equipped and comfortable house in a quiet village with lovely views. A car is very useful because the village is reasonably small, but there are lovely walks from the door and the city of Carcassonne is an amazing daytrip. My kids loved the pool and games room and the adults enjoyed a glass of rose by the pool whilst barbecuing supper! A great house for sharing with friends or extended family.

“Relaxing and spacious with stunning scenery”
Reviewed 16 February 2016 for a stay in August 2014

Nice roomy house set in a small peaceful village. You would need a car to be able to experience the surroundings eg. Carcassonne.

With the pool, and outside BBQ area, everything is provided for a relaxing break. One great thing about this, is that shade can be found on all aspects of the villa. With a downstairs bedroom, this is ideal for a family who maybe want to take the grandparents along too!

Thank you for the great feedback.
It is indeed necessary to have a car, although there are taxis a available for local trips too.

“Delightful well equipped Villa in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 15 February 2016 for a stay in May 2015

We had a brilliantly relaxing stay in the lovely village of St Jean de Barrou in May last year going on lots of walks through the vineyards where there didn't seem to be any restrictions as to where we could wander. The children loved playing table tennis down stairs at the villa when they weren't in & out of the swimming pool and we made good use of the Barbecue enjoying relaxing on the patio with a cold drink and an occasional dip in the pool to cool off.
A visit to the lively town of Narbonne is a must with it’s the markets, great restaurants and of course a lovely golden beach too. Perpignan was also favourite with all the family, the cathedral in the old town is worth a visit & the little shops are delightful, but we all enjoyed the Ariel Adventure Park which wasn’t very expensive for the entertainment it gave.
We also took the opportunity to travel down to Barcelona which was a great day out. It only took just over 2 hours to get there on the toll roads and was well worth the effort.
As we were flying back from Carcassonne we took the opportunity to visit La Cite on the way home. The castle is very picturesque but is full of tourist shops, however it is a great place to use as a backdrop for photos but if you want to eat I suggest you take a picnic & sit in the shady grounds of the castle as the cafes & restaurants are very expensive.

“Total Relaxation - great for families!”
Reviewed 14 February 2016 for a stay in September 2015

This house, the location and the peaceful vibe is beyond belief. No place I have visited provides the same comfort and relaxation as Vive Corbieres. House has everything you need for all ages, pool is tremendous (safe for kids), village is quaint and quiet and surrounding countryside is a joy to walk in. Vineyards surround the property and its only one hour from the airport or less to numerous beaches. Owners and local contact are very helpful and flexible. Good restaurants in the vicinity and the wine is high quality and low price. I could not recommend this as a holiday vacation highly enough. The piece de resistance is the basement - table tennis and darts! Tres Bon!

Dear Andrew
Thanks for your review. We're pleased you found the villa and location to your liking. Corbieres region is still a relatively undiscovered gem in France. We hope you'll visit us again soon.
