“shocked by farhana h's GO review”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

i am shocked and horrified to read Farhana's comments about Nirvana at the mini club we have recently just returned from our second trip to la plantation d'albion within the last in 6 months and have no idea what this review can be based on - Nirvana who was at the mini club on both of our visits was a top favorite with both of our children aged 2 and 4 and certainly with us too. She is fantastic with all of the children who absolutely love her and she is always smiling and can not do enough to help anyone.......... i have no idea how anyone think that she hates children as from my point of view she loves them and that is clear to see from the way she interacts with them - in fact the mini club GO's are one of the main reasons for our return trip this time round they are all great with the children and i would strongly recommend the mini club for their level of care and fun that they have with the children WE LOVE ALL OF THE MINI CLUB STAFF ESPECIALLY NIRVANA................. and it is for this reason that we will return again - the sports team are also great with the kids Silver was another top favorite with my daughter and he even got her loving the trapeze - which is something i never thought she would ever do - my children had the best holiday ever this time round mainly due to all of these GO's and they have boosted their confidence beyond belief............

the flies were very annoying this time round but there has been a lot of rain recently and there is not much that one can do to kill off the fly population !!!!!!!! the mosquitos weren't great either in fact they were pretty bad - when we go back we will go in november again when we had no flies or mosquitos.........

Stayed March 2012, travelled with family

by far one of the nicest Club Meds around. Rooms very well appointed and beautiful decor.
The staff are what makes this resort special, each and every one of them were friendly and went out of their way to make contact with us. Food was indeed a high standard as with all club Meds.
Every night the staff put on a show which is always good fun. The " white night" was the equivalent of formal night and the length to which the resort is decorated for one night is to be commended by all the staff .
The resort is huge and very easy to get lost. We used the Golf buggies to the full extent. A quick phone call and there is a golf buggy at your disposal to take you anywhere within the resort.
The Zen pool has a noise policy and we obviously disturbed this and were told to tone it down. Fair enough as the main pool is the opposite.
Would recommend the resort completely.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the 100 range if you want to be close to the pool. Restaurants. Main buildings.

So here goes. Have been to the island 12 times. All trips, except one have been at 5* resorts. I have yet to find a resort that has the best beach, best food, best service, best kids club.

Best beach- Paradis Hotel
Best rooms- Beach villas Four Season
Best food and best service goes to Le Touesrock
Best kids club - Club Med Albion

The thing about Albion is that it is the best value for money package. Make sure you choose a suite. Spacious and you don't closer to the beach. Staff are super friendly. Plenty of activities whether you with a family or single. Typical Club Med, everything is free. The nice thing is that they do not skimp on the drinks or food quality. If you enjoy sushi, giant prawns you will not be disappointed. Friday is Lobster/ Giant prawns and Thurs is sushi special. You will put on weight:)

Spa is decent and friendly staff. Gym is functional, albeit small.

Of our 12 visits, this was the only hotel that we returned twice. Staff that made our trip special:

Amira - concierge
Beach- Logen and Axel
Kids club - Shana
Circus - Silver
Watersports - Tamzyn, Andy and Sam
Other GO's

Well done team. It's your energy and enthusiasm that makes us coming back for MORE!

Room Tip: It has to be a beach suite. Nothing else or you maybe disappointed :(

I went twice to the resort in early March and early April. Quite a mix of nationalities in both cases with very attentive staff. Excellent bar crew with Arnaud, Ines and Rosa: great memory and perfect mixes every time. Can't same the same about the pool staff unfortunately, always quite slow and quite a few mix ups.
The rooms are spacious, clean, bright. Some can be a little walk from the reception which is why they have gold carts which run every 15 minute to take you everywhere in the village. Unfortunately some guests can be a little rude and make a run for the cart when you have been waiting in line which is not always cool... But well...
The food quality is quite good, mind you this is not a five star resort, but there is always great variety with fabulous deserts and great options for everyone. I also tried the specialty restaurant one night and was really not impressed.
In terms of activity, all the sports staff is ultra professional and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and always invite you in their activity.

The beach is not spectacular, not quite postcard worthy. But there are plenty of little nooks to relax in that make it quite relaxing to laze back. Keep in mind this is not the Maldives though.
Evenings are always entertaining with fun shows and a dance floor until about 1:30 or 2PM.

All in all a great experience. If you are considering the resort, do bring some mosquito repellent though or you will be eaten alive.

Room Tip: Just let the planning team know in advance if you have any requirements such as connecting rooms, or...

I have a husband that is a professional sportsman. This has meant that our family has travelled to many countries and stayed in many hotels. This was by far the best hotelnexperience and service we have received in 12 years! I highly recommend the circus trapeze for kids (4 years old!) and adults ( although you can't drink before you do it I would recommend one afterwards). The sports staff are wonderful and make sure to watch the sports tea m demonstration - don't want to give anything away but it is mind blowing to see their skills ;-) the nightly shows and themes are spectacular ESP circus and micheal jackson

Tip : stay in luxury suites on the beach ( worth the extra money with all the space) but try to not be in 102 - it gets loud at the beach party!

Room Tip: Not room 102 it is close to hotel and can be loud at the beach party
