A very Nice place to stay in progreso, one street to the beach, very peaceful and clean. I recommend.
Abrazarse Life was the ideal place for our mother/daughter retreat. Jacque and Clinton were amazing hosts, providing the comforts of home while introducing us to authentic local culture. The Ocean room and meals at the Casa were fabulous. Just a block off the beach seaside shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We had everything we wanted close at hand, including yoga in the park across the street. When we did venture further off our hosts became perfect guides taking us day trips to see remote cenotes, flamingos near Celestun, the Mayan site at Uxmal temples and shoe shopping in Ticul.
We enjoyed our stay at this B&B in Progreso. Jacque and Clinton were extremely good hosts and gave us lots of good information about the area. The location was great as it was one block from the Malecon and was easy to walk to most places. The accomodation was good with clean and spacious rooms.

Staying with Jacque, Clinton, and Kitty (the dog) is like visiting your cool aunt and uncle. Both went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and easy. We really appreciated the delicious home-cooked meals they prepared for us – especially since one of us is a strict vegetarian and the other a meat-lover. It really took the stress out of trying to find vegetarian food in Mexican restaurants and it was delicious. Thank you, Jacque, for coming up with so many creative veggie dishes. Thank you, Clinton, for cooking such delicious meat.
Clinton, in one word, is a character. He’s a true jack-of-all-trades – talented massage therapist, chef, bartender, Taekwondo master, pool shark, card trickster, and overall entertainer. Jacque is the calming force and makes sure the B&B is running smoothly. Kitty, a local rescue dog, is possibly the best dog ever.
The accommodations are nice and homey. Our room was spacious, the balcony has a great view, and the beach is only a short block away. Progresso is a simple beach town, good for kite surfing on a windy day, and a short drive from several Mayan ruins, cenotes, and the Yucatan capital Mérida. We felt very safe in Progresso and in general wherever we traveled in the Yucatan.
