I've been going to the Top Brink for more years than I care to remember. It's always been in the same ownership so what you get is a pub that is consistently good. It is also a free house so the beer selection changes and also there are a couple of regular ales that are always on.
The food at the Top Brink is simple pub fayre. Simple is good because there is nowhere to hide, it has to be done correctly. In the winter time when it tends to be a bit quiet on top of that hill they put on a steak night which offers great value for money.
I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal there. Maybe chosen the wrong thing a time or two but that was my fault. The service is always good too. I don't dislike anything about the place.
