Stayed for 8 nights. 4 ahead of the festival on my own, and 4 with friends during the festival. The staff were charming and very helpful. I felt very at ease on my own and comfortable, whether having a drink at the bar or eating alone in the restaurant. We stayed half board. I'm not sure that I would do so again. The breakfasts were very good. The main meals were a bit variable. Some were terrific. Others rather dull. Though it was nice that we could choose lunch or dinner, on half board (and there seemed to be a picnic option available too, on request). Wine (if unfinished) was kept for you at your next meal in the restaurant. Room was fine. Bed was very comfortable, with nice linen. Good cupboard space with reasonable number of hangers. Extra pillows were provided very promptly when requested. Cleaning was thorough, and toiletries were replaced every day, as used. The furnishings and fittings are a bit tired. But everything was clean and functional. Sink plug was stiff and broke one morning. By the afternoon it had been replaced without even asking. Impressive. Our friends missed not having at least one english news channel available on the TV. But as I suspect the hotel is mainly spanish clientele much of the year I can understand it not being a priority. The pool is great. Nice and big, and very clean. Loads of loungers even during the festival. Bring beach towels. The bar is lovely. Lots of tables outside, shady and sunny. Entertainment in the evening was cheesy music (though during festival I think it was suspended, at least the hours we were at hotel before heading for the arena). Excellent location for FIB. Simple and felt safe walking to and from the arena at all hours. Half an hour's walk (standard festi ticket....believe VIP would be a bit closer). When I arrived most of the clientele was Spanish/family type break. Kids entertainers looked very good, though I didn't have any need for them myself. The kids pools are big and seemed very satisfactory. By the time the festival was on, the clientele was very mixed, with large number of brits. Bit rowdy round the pool at times, though this got better as festi wore on (and night revellers slept much of the day presumably (we were oldie festival goers so did not do all nighters)!). The beach is nearby, and a very good, safe, sandy one. With lifeguard on duty. Good loungers for hire. Great bar to the left on the walk from thehotel
to the beach. Can't remember the name, but it has quite cool music coming from it and is a cut above. Good food. Reasonable prices throughout the resort. The hotel bar was very reasonable too we thought. Altogether a super stay. Highly recommended for the festival, and I think would make for a very nice break at other times, when I understand the room rates are extremely competetive. I would certainly stay again, whether for FIB or otherwise.
