“Great Stay for FIB”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2012

Stayed for 8 nights. 4 ahead of the festival on my own, and 4 with friends during the festival. The staff were charming and very helpful. I felt very at ease on my own and comfortable, whether having a drink at the bar or eating alone in the restaurant. We stayed half board. I'm not sure that I would do so again. The breakfasts were very good. The main meals were a bit variable. Some were terrific. Others rather dull. Though it was nice that we could choose lunch or dinner, on half board (and there seemed to be a picnic option available too, on request). Wine (if unfinished) was kept for you at your next meal in the restaurant. Room was fine. Bed was very comfortable, with nice linen. Good cupboard space with reasonable number of hangers. Extra pillows were provided very promptly when requested. Cleaning was thorough, and toiletries were replaced every day, as used. The furnishings and fittings are a bit tired. But everything was clean and functional. Sink plug was stiff and broke one morning. By the afternoon it had been replaced without even asking. Impressive. Our friends missed not having at least one english news channel available on the TV. But as I suspect the hotel is mainly spanish clientele much of the year I can understand it not being a priority. The pool is great. Nice and big, and very clean. Loads of loungers even during the festival. Bring beach towels. The bar is lovely. Lots of tables outside, shady and sunny. Entertainment in the evening was cheesy music (though during festival I think it was suspended, at least the hours we were at hotel before heading for the arena). Excellent location for FIB. Simple and felt safe walking to and from the arena at all hours. Half an hour's walk (standard festi ticket....believe VIP would be a bit closer). When I arrived most of the clientele was Spanish/family type break. Kids entertainers looked very good, though I didn't have any need for them myself. The kids pools are big and seemed very satisfactory. By the time the festival was on, the clientele was very mixed, with large number of brits. Bit rowdy round the pool at times, though this got better as festi wore on (and night revellers slept much of the day presumably (we were oldie festival goers so did not do all nighters)!). The beach is nearby, and a very good, safe, sandy one. With lifeguard on duty. Good loungers for hire. Great bar to the left on the walk from thehotel
to the beach. Can't remember the name, but it has quite cool music coming from it and is a cut above. Good food. Reasonable prices throughout the resort. The hotel bar was very reasonable too we thought. Altogether a super stay. Highly recommended for the festival, and I think would make for a very nice break at other times, when I understand the room rates are extremely competetive. I would certainly stay again, whether for FIB or otherwise.

Stayed here for an overnight on our way up the coast of Spain and it is the second time we have done so.
Excellent value at €55 for dinner, bed and breakfast for a couple (yes, 27.50 each!) in a large, modern hotel in the Intur chain. The other guests were of two extremes - either elderly Spanish groups or English or French teenagers on a school/youth club trip. This is because the hotel caters for coach tours and also has great leisure facilities for sports.
The dinner and the breakfast are both buffet and plentiful with plenty of fresh fruit and salads. There would be no excuse for being hungry when staying there.
Whil ie is a bit bland and souless we will definitely keep it on our list for overnights.

Excellent hotel.
Close to local beach. Went there every day.
Rent a car and travel to Castellon de la plana, the city close by.
If you want to go to a good local club, go to 440 (quattro cuarenta) where the foam party will almost drown you.
Visit Valencia, an hours drive away. Especially plaza de la Reina where you will find a host of good bars/cafes. eg Finnegans Irish pub

Had an overrnight stay here on way to Barcelona, was easy to find and vey pretty town. We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and the views over the surrounding area were fantastic. The room was clean and for the price we paid (35 euro ) was great value for money. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I have ever enjoyed and was included in the price! with plenty of variety to suit everyone, the way it was laid out was also great as not everyone queueing at the same time for food.Would definiteley stay again.

Room Tip: Higher floors on pool side get the sun nearly all day.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2012

8 friends spent 3 nights in this hotel in February. The hotel was clean and comfortable - although all four bedrooms had horrible smells in the bathroom in the evenings. When we complained to the chambermaid she sprayed air freshener!!
The food was plentiful and varied although, like a lot of Spanish hotels was not very hot!
Entertainment was good - if you could find out what was going on. There was a disco in the basement and a ballroom above. Although there was dancing in both rooms, we only found out which room the entertainment was in by going from one to the other.
One of our party was disabled and there was no access for disabled to the bar, without going outside, or to the disco or the ballroom. He was, however, able to take his mobility scooter to his room at night to recharge the battery
Although the hotel is quite a way from the town centre, there is a regular bus service or, alternatively, plenty of parking in the town.
The room where there was a pool table was locked during the day.
There was a well equipped gym and a good indoor heated pool , both at extra charge.
Situation was good, only 200 metres from the sea and plenty of free parking adjacent to the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very helpful

Room Tip: Make sure you are not over the front entrance as coaches come and go quite early in the morning.
