We've just returned from our super relaxing holiday ! We really enjoyed our time at anseli hotel , it was small , clean , basic but perfectly formed for a chilled time , our first room was a little dark and facing a wall we asked to move , they said no problem as soon as one comes free , second room was great over looking the pool , cleaned every day and super cheap air conditioning can't go wrong ! The food offered there was always freshly cooked and good value , not a lot around and about except it's fairly close to Rhodes Town ! Thanks Anseli for a lovely relaxing cheap time !

On arrival to Anseli Hotel (10 mins from the airport 15 Euros) we were greeted by friendly warm staff. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony next to the pool. We went self catering and enjoyed many meals on our balcony in the sun. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. The hotel is family run, all staff were always on hand to help or offer advice on places to see, we booked a car through our hotel which was very reasonable, the car was dropped off to us and collected from the hotel at our convenience. The hotel is a short walk from local shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants and the main bus route to Rhodes town. The beach although pebbled is 5 minutes walk, it is beautiful with Turkey in view, there are plenty of places along the beach with sunbeds/umbrellas serving drinks etc. Rooms were cleaned everyday other than Sundays', we would of liked tea towels in our apartment which is our only negative. We look forward to going back soon.

Room tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.

Apartement on the 1st floor by arrival in the evening 32 Degrees celsius including mosquitos. Matrasses like killing fields.
Without beeing sarcastic a well run bar with a perfect barmaid.
English breakfast for 7,-- Euro, hot water and a tiny bag of nescafe, water with Sirup called juice. Forget about it do it yourself. And my special kick, after asking 3 days for hot water I had to mention Thomas Cook and by surprise 2 hours later I could wash my hair!

Pleasant family run hotel about 5 mins walk from the village centre, and 10 minutes from the beach. Very good value. Rooms/beds are comfortable and have kitchen facilities but rear of hotel experiences some aircraft noise. Small and very reasonably-priced restaurant that cooks dishes to order. There is a small swimming pool which is attractively shaded from the summer sun.

Aircon and wifi cost extra.

The area around hotel is a bit scruffy, but it's a genuine Greek village. Kremasti has a number of shops, tavernas and restaurants and is less touristy than other resorts on the other side of the island. Regular buses run into Rhodes Town, and the airport is less than 10 minutes away.

The local beach is shingle and seas can be a bit rough. There are a couple of beach bars. You are probably better going up the coast towards Rhodes Town. Good views across to Turkey.

Room tip: Request pool room view, as less aircraft noise

friendly place ,very clean nice bar and pool area ,typical Greek 10 mins walk to rocky beach an other 5 to a lovely beach bar with amazing food . 10 mins the other way to town square , nice to sit and people watch couple of lovely taverns ,
been to Rhodes many times over the years ,so this was a lovely relaxing holiday only decision to make was beach or pool which by the way you could always get a sunbed, or where to eat that night . local bus handy into Rhodes town .
would I go back don't normally but for what we wanted was lovely
as for needing ear plugs cause of the planes is ridiculous !!!!
yes they were close going over ,but you didn't notice after a while
as someone mentioned the extra's well this is the only way these hotels make a living ,and that's were ever you go as the amount they get back from the tour operators is appalling
special mention to Jane the lovely barmaid who had to put up with us after a few drinks we were there in September ,had one rainy thundery morning , rest of the days 30 plus
