Popped in on Good Friday we never booked but the great staff found us a table. We both ordered the fish and chips it was the best fish and chips we both had ever eaten . So fresh and yummy. Great value and service. Can't wait to go back.

First time visit with friends who had been before. It was a very busy lively restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Well the food was really good. We all had various starters, I had the mackerel pate which was fresh and delicious. A few had the scotch egg which they said was fantastic. The Sunday roasts with the lamb and beef were good. My beef was a bit too rare and the fat wasn’t cooked but the rest of the meal was great. Desserts went down well except the apple crumble topping was hard and inedible. Would definitely return again.

I spent an afternoon in the Staith House with family on a recent trip to the North East. It was fairly busy but as the end of service approached at 3pm it gradually quietened down. We found the service, fiendliness of staff and food to be of a high standard. It appeared to be very clean, and the toilets in particular were spotless (which may seem like a basic requirement but is often overlooked /ignored by establishments).
Price-wise I would say it's very reasonable; we had several side orders, a starter, three mains, two desserts and six drinks for under £90.
We had no complaints at all and would happily visit again

It was good Friday and the only time we could get a table was 5.pm ,so early dinner. It was very busy but we had good service and good food but it was very noisy sometimes. However do wish they would keep toilets clean and tidy.
