“Peaceful, relaxing and comfortable”
Reviewed 2 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

My husband and I have recently spent a week in Marigold at Berry Park. We were made very welcome by the owners, Richard and Regina, who regularly made the fire up in the games room for our comfort and enjoyment in the evenings. We also enjoyed the odd game of snooker and table tennis.
We were very lucky with the weather and had some really sunny days that we made the most of. We even had coffee outside our apartment on one occasion as the sun was so warm in the lovely suntrap of a garden. What beautiful views. It was so peaceful, all you could hear were the birds.
Our apartment was warm and cosy. We achieved many good nights sleep due to the peace and quite and the incredibly warm, comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and as I love to cook, it was a pleasure having the time to pursue my favourite hobby.
Richard and Regina had a good knowledge of things to do in the area. Regina informed me of the beautiful walks to be had directly from Berry Park. Wow WHAT VIEWS of a very dramatic coastline. Richard directed us to a hotel on Exmoor for lunch which I recognised as having stayed in with my family as a child. Their visitors book still had my father's entry from 1974.
Reading through the literature in Marigold I found an article on the history of Berry Park. My husband and I would just like to wish Richard and Regina the very best for their future there. We realised what a privilege and honour it must be for them to continue the established tradition of maintaining Berry Park as a holiday destination. The house has so many original features and it's wonderful to see that it is to be maintained and lovingly and sympathetically cared for with an understanding of it's origins.

“A comfortable base for exploring the North Devon/ Cornwall coast .”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in March 2013

We have stayed at Berry Park many times and Marigold is one of our favourites.
It is a comfortable base for wonderful walks and for visiting the coast.
We particularly enjoy the flexibility of self catering and being able to eat at Berry Park's restaurant. Val produces fabulous home cooked food with lots of fresh vegetables.
There is a games room which includes a table tennis and pool table. Always good fun for evenings and wet days.
