My sister and I stayed at Butterfly Beach hotel in 2017. A lovely hotel, with friendly staff, particularly in the restaurant, the shop, and the lovely friendly lady who helped us book our excursions. The rooms were kept beautifully clean as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style, plentiful, very tasty, varied, and value for money although our holiday was self-catering. The only downside in our second floor room was that the toilet kept blocking, but it was always dealt with promptly. We would definitely stay there again, and the views across the sea from your restaurant table were beautiful.

We had our honeymoon at the Butterfly hotel - our first trip to Barbados, and the staff were fantastic at making it super special for us! The location is perfect and it isn’t overcrowded - plenty of choice if you want to read by the pool or get a table for dinner. The food was amazing - delicious, and our room looked out onto the sea. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

My first visit to Butterfly Beach was in February. I enjoyed my visit so much I decided to return in April with 3 others. We had a marvellous time. Returning to this hotel is truly like returning to a home in Barbados. The staff are friendly, professional and always good humoured, they all remember our previous visit and our names. I cannot stress enough the impact the staff have on the enjoyment of our stay. They are truly an asset to the management and are one of the main reasons I will return. It is impossible to single out anyone, as they are all magnificent. The can do attitude prevails from housekeeping to reception to management and especially restaurant and bar personnel.
This is advertised as a budget hotel. If you don’t see what you are looking for just ask, they will The refurbishment (due to start at the end of May), I am told will not change the ambiance, several hotels on the same beach have refurbished to a style which looses their Bajan feel. Butterfly still has that Bajan feel. That is what makes it unique. If you prefer an all dancing, singing, gimmicky Americanised hotel which could be anywhere in the world Butterfly may not fit the bill.
The good value, location and proximity to Bridgetown, The gap, Oistins and the airport give it the edge. Busses pass the front door to anywhere on the Island so if you fancy using local transport - it is easily available. We were lucky enough to catch the last racing day of the second racing season at Garrison Savannah - great day out. We ate at Daddy’s, where the cocunut shrimp is a must. Sheila’s van outside Divisouthwinds, and whilst there shopped at the dress shop within the grounds of Diviwinds which sell great fashion for Carribean climate and exquisite dress jewellery. Tapas was another restaurant where we ate a memorable dinner. Crystal Waters Sunday lunch is a must with Mr Impact and his guests, the amazing limbo dancer and Bic Bic. Oistins is as ever Rockin most nights but Friday is busiest. The evening entertainment in the restaurant is first class . Mr Impact on Wednesday, steel pan and excellent singers other nights. The restaurant is open, covered with the prevailing wind mildly wafting through, making it perfect for dining. Amazingly no mosquito bites from both my visits.
Thank you Butterfly for another great holiday and Good luck with your refurb,

Room Tip: 303,402,I can recommend both. But refurb due to begin at end of May so all rooms will be upgraded.

The staff were lovely and the hotel was right on the waters edge with a sandy beach each side. Plenty of sun beds shades tables chairs etc no need for this stupid ritual of reserving a bed with a towel. (beach towels are supplied). Rooms were clean, beds were huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and buffet style. Evening meals were served by friendly waitresses and the food was excellent. Due for a refurb June 2018 but nothing was worthy of any complaint. We emails with questions before going and got helpful responses every time. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel it was lovely !

Room Tip: sea view rooms get booked early
