The room was well appointed and, being on the ground floor, we just walked out onto the swimming pool area then down the steps to the beach. These areas were clean and very well maintained.

We phoned reception to tell them that our air conditioning unit was dripping condensation and it was fixed within the hour.

The food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced.

Best of all, the staff in all departments are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful.

There are only a few amenities in the immediate area and if you want to visit the "bright lights" you will need to take a bus or taxi.

We would be very happy to stay here again!

We just returned from a week stay at Coconut Court during the Christmas holiday. The hotel is average, and it was adequate for our needs. Nothing fancy, but a clean place to sleep. The beach is very nice however we needed to get up early to get a good spot. Not something you like doing on vacation. Our room was clean and well kept. I agree that the safe in the room is fantastic and comforting. The bathroom is very small and the shower is extremely small but we managed. We, like other reviewers, did have small looking ants in our bathroom. They did not prove to be troublesome for us but I can see how they would be annoying. The food in the resturant is just OK. Drinks at the bar are good, but wait for happy hour when things are half price. We were disappointed in the staff. The wait staff seemed like we were bothering them and perhaps even ignored us at times. We weren't asking for anything out of the ordinary, just our water glass filled or the check but still seemed like we were annoying them by asking anything. The staff at the bar were less than helpful. My husband ordered coffee with Baily's for me and this order was not even acknowleged by the bar tender. He later returned with a small pot of cold coffee and put some Baily's in a cup. It wasn't what I had hoped for, but I made the best of it. Shawn at the beach bar was fun and very nice. He proved to be helpful and seemed interested. We appreciated him and thought he did a good job. Staff at the front desk were OK. The staff at the end of our stay seemed more willing that those when we initially arrived. They did not seem willing to help arrange anything for us. We did request a wake up call at 7:30 one morning (we were going snorkling the next day and needed to be there by 9 am). There are no alarm clocks in the rooms so we had to have some way of getting up on time. We recieved a phone call from the front desk that morning with an individual that said, "This is your 7:30 wake up call. It's 8:00". We were very unhappy with this, but made it to our destination timely. They offerred no apology when they called. We did go on Ted's tour since other reviewers seemed to like it. It was fabulous and I can't recommend it enough. It is reasonable priced and we felt like we got a lot for our money. It's a great way to see the island and Ted is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Whatever you are planning to spend on meals...double it. Food is very expensive no matter where you go. We recommend The Black Pearl. It was expensive but within walking distance. The Green Dragon accross from CC was very good and quiet. You also have to go to Oistens on Friday night. It is a fun experience and the food was probably some of the cheapest and best all week.

If you are looking for adventure, we tried de Action surf shop in silver sands. It is a little hard to find, but it was so much fun. We took surfing lessons and had a great time. Just follow the yellow signs to the surf shop. The bus doesn't go exactly to it. Overall, we felt Barbados was a beautiful island but found most of the people to be rather rude. This was true almost everywhere we went. This is something we did not anticiapte and becuase and we will probably chose another destination when considering vacation in the future.
If you are cosidering Coconut Court, it is an OK place to stay and the beach is great. I wouldn't expect much from the staff or anyone else on the island.

We went to Barbados for a friend's Wedding. They were staying at another hotel 10 mins wander down the beach for all the family entertaining, but we chose the Coconut Court.
It was wonderful! We were in block 2, 3rd floor (next one on from the reception block). The room was warmly decorated with a large bed, TV, fridge, cooker, remote air con, wardrobe, safe & ensuite shower room. All rooms have views of the sea from the balcony.... and what a view!!
We visited some of the other beaches that were recommended to us during our stay, but I must say we thought the Coconut Court beach beat them all. It was beautiful with fantastic palm trees - everything you wish to expect when visiting the Carrebean. The hotel has a lovely pool & jucussi area, but we only went to that on the last day as the beach was so lovely.
We were B&B & that was suficient for us as we got some groceries from the supermarket at St Lawrence gap (approx 20 mins walk) for during the day.
We highly recommend the Turtles/ship wreck snorkling as it's unbelievable how friedly the giant turtles are (turtles like in Finding Nemo!), they swim all around you & love strokes!
Overall the Coconut Couort was fantastic and we would have no hesitation going back there!

First of all I certainly didn't get the "once over" from the waitresses but that is obviously because I am a size 14 red-headed lady of a certain age! Oh to be young, blonde and thin!!!

Well the hotel room we had was fine with a lovely view. The balcony was good too but unless you're over 6 feet tall you couldn't see anything over the balcony whilst sitting down! Not really big problem for us though as we were only there for two nights. The sunset was a scene to behold!

When checking in the receptionist was friendly but check-in time is quite late at 3.00 p.m. However, we left our bags in reception and took advantage of the happy hour at the bar on the beach and made our acquaintance with Angela who has the most infectious laugh ever!

The road is quite a safety hazzard as the traffic whizzes by and often there is no pavement so I would definitely not recommend high heels.

The main complaint we have about the hotel would be the breakfast. There was not too much choice and if you wanted some bacon or sausage there is an extra charge which I think is a bit of a rip off.

Overall we had a great two nights at the Coconut Court and would probably stay there again if on the South Coast of Barbados.
