There's a lot to like about the savannah
All staff are nice and helpful.
Accomadation is not modern but very
Comfortable bed everything else quite adequate.
Restaurants well Rachel's and chopsticks
We're lovely every time we went.
Drifter not so great only my opinion though.
Pool not very big ok when we were there
Because hotel wasn't full.
You can't really swim from beach to Rocky
Hotel do bus to Carlisle bay twice a wk
Don't miss it it's on Tues and Sunday.
In my opinion it's a great value
For the money hotel.

Normally we would stay with family but we wanted to relax so stayed at the savannah. Numerous reviews good and bad but we wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. First impression on arrival we seem to be rushed into here’s a drink here’s your key and some information but no introduction by a virgin rep. The room was very dated and for the price we paid for pool area nothing spectacular but was ok.(revamp required from showers/beds and furniture) Air condition was good and safe was ok but iron board was broken.New bedroom tax be prepared as you will be asked to pay on arrival!!

As a food blogger I was impressed by some of the chefs who prepared some amazing dishes however this was only shared when we was given a vip dinner (normally given to returning guest or vip upgrades) portion size is small but quality is good. Rachel’s was average for breakfast (Lynette was lovely although did forget to book us in chopsticks one night and we was rejected entry) Chopsticks was lovely but drifters was terrible an selections which repeated to often. No bajan cuisine was shown so had to go into town and Oistins on Friday .Tyrone (restaurant manager) was very professional and should look to move on further west coast to a 4 star plus hotel has out grown the savannah.

Pool needs to be checked throughout the day,the kids club needs a make over badly. The virgin rep failed to introduce herself and no welcome meeting given, very unfriendly and feedback from other guest she is only interested in you if your buying a trip (money grabber).Virgin must take note of this as there will be problems if this continues as no one likes to be conned!!!

Just two days shuttle service to Carlisle beach is not enough for guest and the departure beach idea is not appealing to guest but great for hotel in getting room back early.

Although we met some lovely people are last week proved that this is more of a 3 star hotel for those that enjoy English food and beer at 10am.

Not a place for the old, lots of stairs and some not very well lit. It’s an old hotel squeezed into a small plot with a short beach. Staff are great although today no members of staff came onto the beach to sort out the differance between a local beach trader and some guests (quite sad as it went on for ages). Food is a little limited in choice but ok. It’s freindly and nice it’s clean. Little up dates like powerful showers more lighting on some stairs would be nice... you can walk along the beach which is nice, not bad if you have kids as it’s shallow but there are rocks and the waves for under 10 s might be a little strong. Mini bar empty as well. In all a cheap holiday you get what you pay for.
Staff very nice.

Have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Barbados staying at the Savannah Beach Hotel. This was our second time at this hotel. Rooms do need updating especially the bathrooms but believe the hotel is working on this. Staff are great nothing was too much trouble and a shout out to Nicole, Richard and Tyrone they kept us nicely supplied with rum. The hotel is ideally situated for access to Bridgetown and St Lawrence Gap if you want the nightlife outside of the hotel. As this was our second visit to the Savannah they invited us to their VIP dinner which was excellent. We went around the markets in Bridgetown with a couple of the chefs to pick the food we would have and that evening they gave us a four course dinner which was delicious and made us feel very special.
