We stayed as a family of four in an Ocean View Suite - the room was lovely. I had asked for a separate bed for my son as he wasn't comfortable sharing with his younger sister. On arrival they had put 2 separate single beds in the lounge area so both kids were happy. Plenty of space in both rooms, although we had no hangers in our room. A quick call to reception and housekeeping delivered loads within 5 minutes! We had no safe instructions in our room so walked to reception to ask for help. A call was made and to our surprise the man was waiting outside our room before we returned. All fixed very quickly.
Unlike other reviews we had no issues with our bathrooms. They were both up to date and clean - although we soon worked out there was no hot water in the morning - this was not an issue though.

The food in Rachels A-la-Carte is lovely - plenty of it with excellent service. Chopstix is also lovely. Lunch at Drifters did the job, choice of Pizza, burgers, pasta and buffet each day, so something for everyone. All drinks were good too.

The staff make this hotel - they are all so friendly and willing to help. Service is always very efficient.

The beach is the only disappointing part of this resort. There is too much shade - if you love the sun (as my husband and I do) it is difficult to lay out in one place. Perhaps the Hotel can look at cutting some of the trees back.
Although the hotel does take you to Carlisle bay which is fantastic. Plenty of sun with umberellas if you want them.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ocean View suites are the best as they are not overlooked.

Stayed at the Savannah with my family over the Easter holidays. Overall we found the hotel very good and the all-inclusive deal to be excellent value. We also opted for the VIP package which made the the experience even more enjoyable and hassle free.

All restaurants and food / drink very good, hotel and grounds very well looked after. Most of the staff were very friendly and competent let down by a few, no different to most places I guess?

Beach definitely needs shoes due to rocks but we didn't bother; 10 minute walk either way going great places to swim, we walked around to the other side of the Hilton which was perfect. We also went on the hotel provided transport to Copacabana which was nice for a change.

Only slight negatives were the lack of things to do for older children, not quite as advertised we felt and we felt the entertainment was ok but we're not really ones for shows anyway the point regarding teenagers was probably exacerbated by the fact that there weren't a large number of them at the hotel whilst we were there.

We have just got back from Barbados and stayed at the Savannah Beach, it was a great hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. We ate in all 3 restaurants and could not complain all meals were fresh and tasty. I would recommend booking at Chopsticks. We had our daughter who is 4 with us and she had a wonderful time, playing on the lovely white sand,in the pools or at the kids club, which was run by a warm, friendly and helpful lady. We will be returning

We stayed here before and after a cruise, a total of five nights. On our visit after the cruise we had a room on the ground floor with no hot water at all. They were unable to fix it and suggested we went to another room for showers! We are pensioners and had no desire to do this understandably. It took two whole days and nights for them to offer us another room which was poor seeing as the hotel was not full. We were not happy. Apart from that the beach is very poor and is in fact a reef and we were not able to swim in the sea the whole time as we would have had to go out and buy suitable footwear to do so. This was not mentioned prior to our visit.
There are a great many steep steps in this hotel due to its layout and it really isn't suitable for older people of anyone even slightly disabled.
The restaurant food was good, some members of staff very friendly and helpful others not so. Sadly I have to say we would not choose to stay here again.

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and really helped from simple advice to cleaning the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the beach towels were an added bonus. We enjoyed drifters bar good food and suitable for vegetarians. Good location we were able to access the whole island easily.
