This was my first visit to Stoupa and Georges and I had my reservations having not been on a package holiday for many many years (Thomas Cook). I was really pleasantly surprised. Georges is a fabulous and very family friendly place. It was lovely and quiet with a great pool and in a great location just a few 100 metres from Stoupa beach front. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Peter who runs the pool bar was a star and very helpful. My apartment was (102) huge and right opposite the pool. The only downside for some maybe the lack of toaster and kettle etc... but it was no problem for me and my family as we ate out every day anyway. Stoupa is a fabulous location for friendly people, great places to eat and quiet and lovely surroundings. Oh and it was incredibly hot!!!!! Aircon at Georges is extra but sooo worth it!

Just spent a week here with our family. I have spent several holidays at George's over many years, but this time I was disappointed. Perhaps because I now compare it with other apartments in the area. Our apartment was spacious, plenty of room for 4 people, but the balcony area was totally unsuitable, as it was 2 separate balconies, one outside the double bedroom, only large enough for 2 chairs and a tiny table, the second outside the lounge/second bedroom, again only large enough for 2 chairs - no table. We were 3 people using the apartment - 2 adults and 1 child, and were unable to sit comfortably on a balcony together. Our view, from either of the balconies, was of a pretty garden and then straight into the apartments opposite, so not much privacy, and an unfinished, seemingly abandoned building site.
Compared to other holiday apartments, these apartments are poorly equipped. No kettle, toaster, coffee machine, not even a sharp knife. Nothing was provided, so pack or buy when you get there, any kitchen essentials, such as T towels, sponge, wash up liquid.
Over the years this complex has grown considerably, and the pool area is now small for the numbers using it. A shame as a large area on the property is taken by a massive indoor bar that is seldom used, even though the pool bar, excellently run by Pete, closes early.
Stoupa, however, remains a great destination, with great tavernas offering lovely food and friendly service.
