Although the accommodation was basic it had everything required for a holiday. The hotel was ideal for both families and couples. The rooms have a kitchenette which includes 2 electric hobs, a fridge and a microwave as well as a small selection of pots and pans. The cleaning routine is good and carried out every day. The pool is quite large with plenty of sunbeds of which some are shaded for a lot of the day. Any problems the staff sort out very quickly as the receptionists were very friendly and proactive. The bar is reasonably priced and run by a very efficient and friendly barman.
My criticisms are the beds are hard and have a plastic mattress protector that is very uncomfortable but I removed this the first evening and slept much better without it. There is a charge for a safe which was unreliable but rectified quickly once reported. Only had one meal in the restaurant but was disappointed in the menu choice and the meal served but the hotel is near to many good restaurants.

Room Tip: One overlooking the pool

Just got back today from a 2 week stay at this hotel it was our 7th visit to kos but the first time at the Aegean Houses we chose this hotel as the others we stayed went all inclusive and we prefer to eat it and tour the islands beaches .. this hotel was fabulous all the staff are excellent so friendly . We were there whilst the earthquake happened and the hotel had no damage obviously water from pool overflowed and the bar area had broken glasses we did loose power on and off for a while but it was soon sorted it was very reassuring staying here. We were bed and breakfast and couldn't fault the food. Plenty of sunloungers at 9am in the morning unlike other places where u have to be up at 6.30 to get a bed and they are not all crammed together like sardines. The rooms are clean and have everything you need even though I'm not in holiday to cook proper meals wen there are such lovely food served in the restaurants. Location is very good for bars and restaurants and walking distance to kos town.. we will definitely return to kos as we love this island and it's lovely people and will stay at the Aegean Houses again hopefully it will be next year .. thank you for a lovely holiday !!!

We chose to come back to Aegean Houses because we enjoyed our stay here 2 years ago. We had an apartment on the lower floor which meant our patio area was level with the garden. This was not a problem. The apartment was in block 4 which is on the far side of the hotel overlooking a farmers field. So quiet and secluded. The only noise is from the hens during the day. The don't appear to be early risers! The maids kept our room clean and changed towels whenever I put them in the shower tray. Reception staff are nice and friendly and remember we had stayed there before. Aegean Houses is situated in a nice part of Lambi. Close to the beach if you want it and there are plenty of bars/restaurants close by. There are 2 supermarkets on the main road. Konstantinos is the nearest and AB is further down the road going into Kos Town. We used both but found that AB is more for the local people, therefore cheaper than Konstantinos. But both have a good selection of the 'basics'. Can recommend Istros, Angelinas and Efkalipty as places to eat. All serve good food at reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Rooms in block 4 are quieter

w have been to Kos many many times but missed last year due to my husbands health, we chose to stay at the aegean houses in lambi kos in an appartment overlooking the pool, our daughter joined us on the second week of our stay. I can honestly say we made the best choice by staying at the aegean, was excellent, the place was immaculate, and all the staff was very friendly and helpful.
the pool area was peaceful and relaxing and we couldnt find anything to fault the place, thank you everyon at Aegean houses, we will be back soon :-D

Room Tip: ask for a high room overlooking the pool
