We spent two nights here and I must say everything about the hotel is excellent. The staffs were very courteous, always helpful and available. There is a river flowing right outside the hotel. We stayed at river facing room. The rooms a clean, spacious. The food served here is amazing. Overall we had a relaxing and comfortable stay. I would highly recommmend this place.

This is a lovely property which has fantastic views. The hotel is right in the middle of the market but is huge from inside. The rooms are nice and spacious with all facilities expected from a 5 star hotel like mini fridge, hot water and bathtub.
Though a little expensive it's worth it as they offer MAP plans.

Room tip: Take 1st floor rooms.

The Pahalgam Hotel was our stay for second leg of our May / Jun 2022 Kashmir trip. The peak season bookings resulted in we staying in two different types of rooms - double room on first night and a suite room the second night. The Hotel is located in the main Market area and seemed both geographic and tourist landmark for the town. Classy wooden interiors and beautiful green lawn overlooking Lidder River will immediately catch your eye once you check-in. They have a cosy cafe named Log In serving snacks and coffee. I was happy with the stay and service.

Here is the summary of our stay experience:

Likes:
+ Beautiful and sprawling property having rich history. They have displayed numerous pictures of old Bollywood stars who stayed at the place while shooting.
+ Rooms are clean and large. All rooms come with centralised heating which is a must as Pahalgam tends to be cold irrespective of the time of the year. Almost all rooms overlook the Lidder river and give you phenomenal views. In room TV was all functional to keep kids engaged in case you need it.
+ They have a special restaurant for "High Tea" named Stone age Lounge. It is kind of underground and great place to enjoy evening tea and snacks with somber music playing. The restaurant gives you feel of a rustic wooden cottage.
+ Food is excellent with sufficient spread of dishes including Indian, Chinese and Italian.
+ Staff is polite and always ready to give you great service.

Dislikes:
- The Hotel is an old property, so do not expect modern gadgetry or technology as you would see in any new 3 or 4 star hotels. At places you may see broken wood and some bathroom fittings needing maintenance.
- Wifi was not that great. However if you have Jio Postpaid connection you may not miss it.

Just few more helpful points:

# Due to centralized location of the hotel, you can take a walk to nearby market or few Parks in the evening.
# They do have TT and Pool Table which could be of great help in case you are not able to venture out due to unexpected rains. The weather becomes unpredictable in no time.

Room tip: Parking is little cramped in case you are driving yourself.

Stayed for a couple of days. It's a lovely hotel with beautiful lawns. Lawns have a non blocking view of the Lidder river. It would be great if the hotel had a private path to the river.

We stayed in a suite. It had two rooms, a sitting room and a bedroom. View from the sitting room was mesmerizing. Our suite was clean and comfortable. This is an old hotel, but maintained well. Food was good but options were limited. Hotel provides a nice high-tea in the evening. Staff were efficient, although we felt occasional lack of warmth.

Overall a very good option in Pahalgam.

This is an excellent property with perhaps the best view any resort can offer in this area. It is situated in middle of market and easy accessablity to near by cafe and restaurant(Daana Pani) and is very near to taxi stand in case you plan a trip to Aru/Betaab/ Chandanwari.
Staff is decent and helpful.
Food is great, but a limited menu.
Evening tea and kehwah is also great.
Housekeeping is also good but asks for tip.
Truly a great escape from busy life into family and relaxing time.

Room tip: Take the room on ground floor facing the river
