Loved the valley of shepherds. Loved the horseriding while climbing the mountains and you'll literally feel spellbound when you will witness the entire valley from the top. I felt like a movie star and so privileged at the same time. So serene and heavenly!

So, there are travelers and there are tourists. When a traveler goes somewhere say like Aru valley (s)he might naturally want to go walk around, climb up, explore the valley or go on a pony to be able to see further. But a tourist would want to know, before I climb any further or take a pony, tell me what is up there to see?

And it is very amusing that the pony-walas have kept that answer ready. "We will show you 5 points: a cave, a unique flower...etc etc etc." And you will think ok. 5 points might be worth a visit. And when you go up, that cave they were talking about is a tiny hump in the hill. The unique flower is an ordinary grass flower that you already saw all over Pahalgham. But by that time you would forget what the other three points are and you will realize you are anyway enjoying the ride over the valley, across the stream, beside the forest.

So, the point is it is nice place to go around. It is worth taking the pony up and exploring. But dont be determined to SEE something. It is so funny that at the foot of the valley every tourist is disheartened looking upward as to what is there to see, and with great curiosity is asking the mighty 5 pointers, "what did you SEE?"
