i should have given 5 star for all the good reason. but i did not give, and i will explain that later.
the hotel is located in a cool place just beside the river and in a cool and calm location on chandanwari road. it offers u cool price with free breakfast. rooms are spacious and big and with big windows. there is a lovely lawn outside which is very well maintained and lush green. WC is clean and good with 24 hrs hot water. it has a cool small restaurant within it and the younger fellow makes one of the best Paratha i had in India, it was super tasty and nice, and will make for u as much as u want with smile. the younger fellow who is the son of the owner is super kind and helpful.
barisan vally and other nice places are very near from here, u can walk up there or can hire a ponny but make good bargain with the pony owners.. has a nice parking place just beside it. they also organise various trips and u can seek their suggestion and help in making trips.
Now why i did not give them 5 star, that i should have given. i did not like to attitude and some words and conduct of the older fellow. Kashmir is a good place where max ppl respects and honors tourists, and India it is well known that people do bargaining and the older fellow is very rude and in one way disrespectful. he is an elderly man, and we expect decent behave from a senior citizen.
apart from this issue, this is one of the best stays in Kashmir i had with price, quality and service rating.
wifi is not same everywhere. there is a nice garden in front. beds are big with blankets. river is beside but u wont get the view from the lawn.
