Had our last lunch in Italy here. Part of our group had been horseback riding with some folks who live in the area. They suggested Buon Gustaio and off we went. We sat at a long table outside in the shade and enjoyed the day. The staff was very nice and quickly served us freshly made pasta and incredible meats. I enjoyed the wild boar, which I was warned was not exactly in season. But, had to try something different. The table shared a steak Florentine which was large enough to feed half an army. But it was also delicious.
The lunch was topped by sips of what appeared to be home made Grappa and Limoncello. I enjoyed the Lemoncello but was not man enough to finish even a small glass of Grappa. It was flavored with Rosemary and strong enough to knock you over several feet away.
Sad to see Italy go but glad we went here before we left.
