Reception team provided a lovely warm welcome and were friendly throughout the stay. They communicated in many languages which was brilliant. All speak good English. The room was clean and themed like the rest of the hotel. There was a large sofa and comfortable double bed. There are plenty of lights, a good heater and ceiling fan to keep you comfortable. Plenty of plug sockets around the room and even one plug specifically for UK plugs so if you forget your adaptor no problem there is a UK plug outlet below the tv see my pics. Toilet and bathroom are separate which is a good idea. Shower was powerful and they provide shower wash and towels each day. TV was fantastic plenty of channels, yes they even have Sky News, BBC and ITV1 & 2 which was brilliant didn’t even miss the soaps. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and reception will give you more if needed. Telephone in the room and a mini fridge which was useful. They even put a few complimentary welcome drinks in the room with a welcome letter which was a nice touch. Plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage etc. Overall fantastic room!! Kids will love the pirate theme of the rooms. Breakfast was always busy but never waited more than a minute to be seated by friendly waiting staff. The buffet is included each day and is continental breakfast. Great selection of cerial, yoghurts, crossiants, pan au chocolate, ham etc. The Crossiants were fresh and crispy each day which is fantastic, I hate stale croissants. Tea and coffee orange juice apple and water is provided also. The Plantation Restaurant opens in the evening for a All you can eat buffet dinner charged at €24.50 (December 2017) per person. Yes this seems a high price but for the location of the hotel this is reasonable and the food was fantastic every evening. Plenty of choice and we dined here every night. Different choice each night but overall quality of food was outstanding. Marcos Pizza was nice too delicious pizza with plenty of cheese. The coffee shop was nice and cakes were delicious. There is an on-site Disney Store!!! I was in heaven, they have some fantastic Disney products and is open until 10pm each day, it is expensive, but this is expected from Disney! Lobby area was pleasant and love the dragon theme waterfall. There is a free shuttle bus to the Disney Parks every 20 minutes. Few things that I was not happy with - €4 for a game of pool absolute rip off and no chalk! And the shuttle busses although free were always cramped and in my opinion dangerously overcrowded this needs to be reviewed by management. Everyone pushes and shoves to get on the bus otherwise you have another 20minute wait and when the weather is cold and wet no one wanted to wait. Don’t let these two bad things put you off though, this hotel is amazing and I will be back and will recommend to anyone!!! Thank you Team Explorers!

Hello,

Thank you very much for your recommendation.

We are happy that you liked our stay at the Explorers Hotel, as well as our services and our universe around explorers and pirates. Our staff indeed speaks many languages to welcome our guests from the whole world. Glad too that you enjoyed our restaurants' offers, for breakfast and dinner.

Thank you for sharing with us a few negative points too. I will share your remarks about the pool with our management staff. Concerning the shuttle buses, it is true that they can get busy at peak times (openin and clisong hours of Disneyland Paris) but they are more regular at these moments of the day. Do you know that it is also possible to park for free at Disneyland Paris when you are a guest of our hotel? Maybe next time you could use your own car to avoid the shuttle.

Thanks again for choosing the Explorers Hotel.

Best regards,

Aude - Marketing Department

It was a nice stay that we booked last minute for an inexpensive stay close to Disney. Clean hotel room, but most importantly my kids had a blast and preferred the hotel than going to Disney. Highly recommend for families!

Thank you very much for your recommendation!

We try to be the best hotel for families in the Disney areas with a lot of activities (aquapark, soft play areas, 6D cinema...) and a themed universe around explorers and pirates. Glad that you and your children liked it.

See you soon at the Explorers Hotel!

Kind regards,

Loved it from the second we arrived.
Great breakfast with loads of options and lovely clean rooms.
Great value for money !
Transfers to Disneyland come every 30 mins and the bus ride is about 10/15 minutes directly to the Disneyland parks.

We stayed here along with 9 other people for my mums 60th Birthday. If you have children this hotel is brilliant as it has the pool which my young son loved and it is open late to fit round Disney park hours which was good. For the men/boys you must remember to take Speedos or you can’t go in the pool, there strict about it. There is also an indoor soft play area and a pirate ship they can explore. We ate one night in the all you can eat restaurant which we all thought was nice loads of different food to choose from. The breakfast is continental all you can eat, would have been nice to have the option of a English breakfast included but you had to pay extra for it. We thought the bar area was quite relaxing not overly busy so nice place to catch up after a long day in the parks. The shuttle bus to the parks are great, can be very busy but they come regularly and is a 5 minute trip to the Disney village.
The bedrooms are a good size we had a family room which was fine.
Our stay at night was not great because our neighbours were really loud (there was a party together with rooms next to each other) but that was not the hotels fault. The facilities in the room were ok, there was no information about the hotel which is always quite handy to have, there were tea facilities but it was only powdered milk which isn’t great. The hairdryer in the bathroom was good. Check in is at 3pm but our room was not ready until 4pm which was not great after traveling with a young son but reception were really polite about it and and chased it for us.
The hotel is about 40min drive from Charles de Gaulle airport and we booked a private shuttle bus so dropped us straight at the hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you have a family, prices to stay are good compared to the Disney hotels and when not in the parks plenty to keep the kids amused.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your recommendation and for taking the time to write us a review on Tripadvisor after your stay. We are really happy to know that you enjoyed your stay at the Explorers Hotel.

We have the particularity to offer rooms for families that can accomodate up to 10 people, which was indeed a good solution for you. Glad that you liked our restaurants, our activities (the aquapark, our soft play areas...) that keep children entertained even when back from the parks, as well as our services.

Of course, even if it is not our fault, we are really sorry about the noise coming from your neighbours' room. If there were people going from a room to another and that it was "a party" as you say it, you could have called the reception. We would have come to talk with these people and remind them that they are not alone in the hotel and that they have to respect our other guests. Again we are really sorry about that, we wish we could have helped you when you were still at the hotel.

Anyway, we would be glad to welcome you again with your family soon.

Best regards,

Aude - Marketing Department

We stayed here for 2 nights.
It’s great for kids with lots to do, indoor pool, play area.
Rooms were clean spacious and fit for purpose.
Breakfast was continental included which was ok.
We went to the buffet restaurant on first night but the food didn’t look so we ordered pizza instead which was nice but pricey. Drinks were also expensive compared to home. €7 for a pint. We noticed this on TripAdvisor before travel so we took our own.
Staff were friendly and I’d stay there again as it was a good base.

Thank you very much for your review. It is a pleasure to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and that your children have fun. We indeed offer a lot of activities for them: an aquapark, soft play areas, a 6D cinema, etc.

We are sorry that you were surprised by our restaurant prices. These are the prices in the area but we try to offer various solutions for all budgets, as our pizzas from 11€ for example that are prepared on request with fresh products. There is also a happy hour every night at the bar when you can get your second drink for free.

Anyway thank you for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you again soon.
