Great facilities for kids. Soft play is excellent, as is the swimming pool. Although men need to wear Lycra swim shorts, which they keep to. They sell these at not a great expense. Breakfast is continental and delicious. Lots of healthy fresh options as well as pastries. Really easy to get to the parks. Rooms could do with a little updating, but as a whole a good place to stay as a family.

Hello,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review after your stay at the Explorers Hotel.
We are glad that you liked our activities, our breakfast that is free for every booking made at the hotel. We are really close to Disneyland Paris and as you say it, it is really easy to reach the parks as we have a free and regular shuttle bus.

Men and boys must wear speedos or boxer at the swiming pool indeed. This is a pretty common rule in France for hygiene reasons. But as we know that this is not the case in other countries, we offer a vending machine at the entrance of the aquapark.

Thanks for choosing the Explorers Hotel.

Kind regards,

Currently staying here at the explorers hotel, and reading the reviews before I arrived, (first time at Disney) I was petrified. Lots of reviews say how dirty the rooms are, about the food, the staff. But I can honestly say I couldn’t want more for a stay at Disney. Yes the rooms are a little outdated and could do with being decorated, but they are not dirty! The hotel itself is very clean! I wouldn’t want a lavish hotel room especially with two little ones running around. It’s basic, but it is all you need, after all most people stay here because they are in Disney land all day.

The buffet restaurant is brilliant for us, something for everyone! Lots of choice, including vegetarian and is reasonably priced. The swimming pool is great and so is the other activities, such as the play area, games room. Even the hotel staff join in with the kids and give them treasure hunts to do and once done they get a prize.

As first impressions go I am very pleased I didn’t cancel my stay and book somewhere else.

Over all, I would recommend the explorers to anyone with children who want to visit Disney and just want basic, but clean and very thought out accommodation for their children.
I will be returning next year!

Thank you very much for your review. It is such a pleasure for us to know that you liked your stay this much. Indeed we are the hotel for families in the Disney area, we are happy that you noticed it and that you had fun thanks to the many activities offered inside the hotel.

Concerning the courtesy tray with tea and coffee, this is a "welcome tray" that is here at your arrival and stays till the end of your stay but indeed we do not refill it, sorry. I will sahre your remark about the daily cleaning during your stay that was not satisfying enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We hope to welcome you back soon at the Explorers Hotel!

Best regards,

Travelled as a family with grandkids - Great hotel for families plenty to keep the kids entertained great pool area ( you can hire pool towels for €2 ) ( men beware you need to wear Lycra shorts or speedo ) good soft play area and galleon play area to keep kids busy when you are not in parks. Rooms clean and well designed for family - breakfast is cold buffet of fruit, cold meats, cheese, breads, cereal and yoghurts ( can buy cooked breakfast for around €5)
You can opt to upgrade to half board to get evening meal didn’t do this but did buy pizza from pizza bar about €18 for pizza, fries and drink ( good size and does serve 2) ( its very busy so a bit of a wait) beer around €7 pint ( bogof happy hour 7pm -8pm - but most still in parks!) free shuttle bus to parks is great and runs very regularly. overall a good experience and nice hotel ( if I was being picky would say ihotel could do with a redecorate / upgrade as a bit tired in parts but generally clean and tidy )

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

We do have a lot of activities inside the hotel to keep parents and children entertained: our aquapark, soft play areas, and even a 6D cinema. Glad that you liked it!

The continental breakfast is complimentary for every booking made at the hotel. It is indeed the cold buffet: bread, toasts, cereals, pastries, French Croissants, fresh fruits, milk products, ham, cheese, etc. But it is possible to get a full English breakfast, or eggs, or bacon on request as an extra charge.

We are really close to Disney parks and we do have a free shuttle bus that runs every 15/20 minutes all day long to go to or come back from the parks. Happy that you enjoyed this service too.

We will take your remark about the redecoration of the hotel into consideration.

Thanks again for choosing the Explorers Hotel and see you soon!

Regards,
