Just returned from a 3 day break with 3 adults and 5 kids to the Explorer hotel in Disneyland Paris. it is the perfect place to stay with kids. This is our second stay and i was a bit worried it wouldnt be as good as last year but it was. We booked a crew suite for 6 plus an extra crew for 2. the suite was worth the little bit extra as there is more room and an extra bathroom. there was 3 sleeping / sitting rooms each with a tv so it was great to get the kids settled at night and still be able to watch tv or have a chat without disturbing them. The pool is brilliant and stays open late. breakfast is perfect - similar to most buffet breakfasts. although our check out was 12 we could leave our luggage in a safe area in the hotel and return to the parks till we were collected for our flight at 7. we used RS transport for our transfer - they were on time courteous and not expensive. it was great to be collected from arrivals and dropped to the door of the hotel and vice versa.

Just back from this hotel had a very plesent experience, I was part of two families with kids ranging from 3yrs -(3x 7yrs )and 8yrs old . This holiday was about the kids it was there holiday , yes the hotel rooms were basic but your in euro disney your not going to be spending much time there, The play area was just brilliant the kiddie gym was fantastic, ....... the swimming pool slides were great fun, so overall the kids gave the tumbs up to this hotel would recommend to any family.
Breakfast was good and yes i did i made up extra rolls every morning and i was happy come lunch time at euro disney to whip them out and feed them on the spot...... Now we did'nt eat dinner in the hotel we always eat in disney village,,,,,,, which is,it great expensive ,,, really fast food everywhere not one sigh of a vegetable ohh the bar prices of beer is crazy 7euros 50 for a pt of lager which is a rip off ...... overall would stay again

After a lot or research on trip advisor and other websites we decided on this hotel. It suited our extended family of 9 very well and the staff were both helpful and pleasent everyday. The hotel was very busy the 3 days we were there but check-in was hassle free and we got to check-in at 1pm even though we were expecting to have to wait until 3pm. They have a left luggage room with lockers so this would not have been a problem.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a large family room with additional room with bunk beds and the children were very pleased with their space, ( tv, playstation). We found the facilities for children very good with the ball area/pit, pirate play area, childrens gym, arcade and plenty to entertain during the short time we were there. The pool was loved by the kids but with no life guard a little nerve wrecking for the adults.
Breakfast was a little crazy each morning but the staff do their best with clearing tables etc. One morning the men paid extra for the cooked breakfast and it was not nice at all. Having said that there was plenty without it, bread rolls, croissants, jams, chocolate spread, yoghurts, fruit, juice, hot chocolate for the kids and decent enough coffee.
All round I think this hotel was a good choice and I would definitely recommend it.

we stayed at the Explorers for three nights with our 3 year old. The hotel was quite full, the staff were friendly & helpful. We were given a room for six people (there were only three of us). The room was up on the 6th floor & was very quiet. There were plenty of towels, shower over the bath. A hair dryer & kettle were provided.
After reading previous reviews, we booked an early breakfast slot of 07.30, this is definately the best time to go, no queues at all. By 08.00, the Queue was very long.
The choices were fresh fruit, croissants, choc au pain, crusty rolls, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, juice & milk.
The play area went down well with our little boy, however he HATED the pool, it was freezing cold & very noisy, there was no life guard which is a bit worrying as the people using the flume came crashing into the main pool.
The buses ran frequently, mostly ok although a bit of a scrum at times.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & would definately go back there again.

We stayed two nights in this hotel on 30th and 31st August. Their website makes it look great and is a fair depiction of what to expect, however photos are deceiving and the reality does not live up to the promise.

1. Beds. Very hard, very small mattresses.
2. Rooms and corridors have all seen better days. This hotel is in bad need of some renovations
3. Breakfast- A really poor affair. Croisants like cardboard , horrible vending machine coffee. Small cubes of emmental type cheese and no hams. It was barely edible (and I can normally eat anything)
4. The No.54 bus to the Parks is an absolute scrum when it leaves, way too overcrowded and definitely dangerous. Lives would definitely be lost if that bus crashed.
5. Restaurants serve food that is just reasonable and not worth the price they charge. The Pizza bar is a gastronomic joke!

On a positive note (the two stars I gave it)
The pool area was loved by my 8 year old with its water slides and pirates ship. She did however describe the kids soft play area as "crap"!
It is also well located for getting to the RER station and to the two Disney parks and Disney Village.
Despite the bus being overcrowded it was frequent and free!
