Six years have passed since we returned to this outstanding luxury hotel that might just be the best value of any luxury hotel worldwide. During these years we have visited countless luxury hotels worldwide. It was remarkable to see that the Macau Sofitel Pointe 16 had moved the bar of excellence to a new higher level and definitely is our favorite luxury property.

All departments of this property excel in the highest standard of customer satisfaction and service. The experience starts when you enter the ground floor lobby and which is beautifully decorated and perfumed by the scents of countless flowers followed by the warm greetings of a great staff. The food and beverage staff are excellent and all of the food is top quality from breakfast to dinner making you look forward to the next meal. The overall cleanliness of the property is impeccable and further complemented by the excellent housekeeping staff.

There is one department that has found a way to move the standard of outstanding to a new higher level of world class excellence. Liezl Lim veteran manager of Club Millesime and perfectly trained staff are truly the "Gold Standard" of what a VIP club experience should be. This VIP club is the best of Sofitel, Accor and the bulk of the other luxury hotel chains. Service and guest satisfaction is really top notch and the food and beverages are excellent and pleasing to all. Liezl and her entire staff deserve special recognition with a special thanks to Nikkole Salador and Mary Li and Liezl Lim. Months before our visit Nikkole was tremendously helpful in planning and logistics for a road trip into mainland China. While on property he provided the perfect service and left me with the feeling of a best friend. Mary gave us the first impression with her warm hospitality. She checked us in, got us the perfect upgrade and made us feel at home. Liezl was tremendous, as she secured transport to the China border, assigned Mary to come with and assist us with the border crossing and got us safely and securely to our waiting car to Foshan China. She was perfect and made the crossing painless. Liezl went a step further by contacting the Sofitel in Foshan, notified them our driver and schedule and got us a VIP welcome and sweet upgrade.

The Macau Sofitel Pointe 16 is a unbelievable value which makes the Millesime Club a real opportunity even for the frugal traveler. It is a VIP club that everyone should have the chance to visit and enjoy. We look forward to coming back to the best Macau has to offer.

Room Tip: Both city and water views are great, Millesime Club upgrade is a value and outstanding experience.

Found this hotel through recommendation and found it to be a nice hotel to stay.

The exterior of the hotel is dated unlike the new hotels like in cotai.

But the service of the staff are excellent for the Sofitel brand.

Location is good as you can walk to St Ruins.
Take the hotel shuttle to the ferry terminal and you can switch to any other buses...like I took the bus to Parisan. So its really convenient.

Again, I stayed in Sofitel Macau cos its good location. Most of my clients are in Macau peninsula, it is so easy for them to come to Sofitel. It is near the business area and not so crowd around as other hotels. I met my clients in executive lounge, it seems this lounge is my meeting room and working place. It is worth to pay more to stay in executive floor to enjoy everything in lounge. Both the food and service are good.

Every time I come to Macau, I use my own cell phone via roaming. This time, don't know what happen to my phone, roaming can't work. I try to use the mobile phone provided in the room. I take it out and use it right away. It is wonderful.

Room Tip: Worth choosing executive floor rooms to enjoy lounge services

It is a great experience to stay at porte 16. This is my first time to stay in this hotel.

The hotel is not really new but it is clean. The room for us is on the executive floor and have a sea view. It is romantic and comfortable.

As I stay for 5 Days, I got so many luggages and the bell services was very nice. Especially Victor and Fred, they are kind and friendly to introduce the hotel for us.

Moreover, this hotel supplies the Hermes luxury body shower, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. I like it so much as it is in good smell.

After a month of travelling China we spent a couple of nights here.

The service and standards at the hotel were exceptional. We were upgraded to a suite which had a double room, 2 bathrooms and a large lounge area.

We were also given access to the club lounge which included complimentary afternoon tea, cocktails, canapés and soft drinks. You could also choose to have breakfast up there too.

We could not fault the hotel at all. We had a lovely stay and would stay there again if we go back to Maccau.
