The room is like what I see on webpage. New, modern and able to have free wifi in room. We brought our Ipad and no problem connecting. No bathtub but the giant powerful shower head made up for it. There is one non-smoking floor, the 17th floor. Book early for a non-smoking room. Even with the non-smoking signage in lift, customers or casino patrons blatantly ignored it.
Took the package deal and it's worth it. The buffet breakfast spread is so-so but make an effort to go for the buffet lunch, it's delicious - loved the sashimi.
New Yaohan is just next door but stocked mainly imported goods. Food court at 7th floor had reasonably priced meals. Average about HK$40-50 per meal.

A very nice hotel in macau and looks spectacularly lit at night.
it has an in house casino spread over 4 levels and has a nice lobby with gold bars decorating the floors...
the main door has a british feel with a hore carriage and two guards outside who stand still even in a storm
rooms are nice not too big just right, views not that great breakfast ok more suited to the chinese palate
a few females hanging around the casino at late hours but thats the proble with most of macau
all in all a very nice stay and one to enjoy by the entire family as the hotel is situated in city centre walking distance to all major attractions

I just came back from Grand Emperor hotel /Macau ! Great hotel and great enviroment but I was very disappointed at Agoda.com ! they lie and cheat telling you that you're getting a discount rate ! DO NOT USE AGODA.COM ,you can get much better rate using HotelBooking.com . I found out my friend paid 40% cheaper than I did ! I feel cheated and disgusted and if you want to cancel they will tell you, that It's the hotel policy ! NOT TRUE !that's right ! I've been using them for ever Not anymore !!!!! .

Stayed on 18th Floor in a deluxe room and on entry, hallways appeared to be newly renovated. Room were also pretty well kitted out with comfortable giant king size bed, LCD TV, ipod docking station, inroom safe, fruit platter on arrival with free minibar consisting of 2 cans Tsing Tao beer, 1 coke and 1 sprite, tea and coffee making facility and two complimentary bottles of water each day. My rate came with breakfast or buffet lunch which I chose the latter and is served in the Royal Kitchen on the 9th Floor. The spread was superb. Received a late check out until 3pm and also tried the excellent Thai Spa on the 20th Floor and paid 700 HKD for a 90 minute thai massage on the last day. The hotel facilities also include the Club Deluxe KTV night club and Excellent Sauna. Hotel IMO falls short of 5 stars but is centrally located, with a free daily shuttle to ferry, close to sights, 10 minutes walk to St Pauls Ruins, Lisboa and Wynn Hotel are a short five minute walk away, MGM slightly further guestimate 15-20 minutes. There are also a selection of high end watch shops on the ground floor selling Cartier, Omega and IWC, but offers little if any discount. What I did notice on the ground floor are the replica red uniformed Queens Guards. They even performed the changing the Guard one evening, guess the mainland chinese visitors don't see this very often.
