Hotel was in a very good location; close to the historic parts - the Senado Square and St Paul's Ruins; close to restaurants, supermarkets, convenience/beauty stores like Sasa and Mannings, the New Yaohan dept store. If you want to go to the casinos, you can always take the free shuttle COD bus near the Grand emperor hotel which is just across Hotel Sintra. Room size was good, bed was firm and comfy. Overall clean hotel. Of course, the free shuttle to and from the ferry/hotel was a great benefit.
What needs to be improved on would be the frontliners' interaction towards guests. Communication barriers cannot be avoided but should guest not be able to understand right away what hotel staff is trying to say, maybe staff should avoid making unnecessary making facial expressions/gestures that may come off as offending. Also, it is surprising to know that some front desk staff are not well informed about establishments that are surrounding the hotel when asked basic directions and we are sometimes referred to the door man instead. Other than these observations, we had a pleasant stay overall and would still recommend to friends who someday would like to visit the historic places of Macau.More
