We were on a holiday in Macau and tried this one since we have tried the ones in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands.

Upon entrance, we were warmly welcomed by staff and we were seated on one of the the tables infront of the sushi counter.

The place is grander in setting than its Singapore counterpart: several crystal chandeliers adorn the hall and you can see all the sections from where we were. Teppanyaki and sushi counter section and the hallway that leads to the private room.

The chefs who run the place were familiar faces. They were in Singapore outlet before.

The futomaki and ramen we had has the exact same taste as the ones we had back in Singapore which we loved and that's what you call authentic flavors: flavors that delivers the true taste whoever prepares the food.

If you are in Macau, I recommend you coming to this place.

Been twice in last month. Set in Studio City, which has to be the quietest resort in the Cotai strip, this is one of Hide Yamamoto 5 branches, funny how many seem to be in casinos, Sands singapore, CoD manila, but anyway, we walked in without booking, and a table was free on an Easter weekend.
Had pretty good set meal first time we went, which consisted of kaiseki starters, a very good steamed egg with truffle and sea urchin, high quality sashimi, followed by some teppanyaki seafood and japanese steak. All good quality, but nothing you could not get in a high quality japanese restuarant like Inigiku in Hk, though prices were around HKD1k a head.
Went this weekend for seasonal menu of the month. Started again with Kaiseki, steamed truffled egg, better quality sashimi, which included a very good toro, fresh teppanyaki lobster, then was blown away with an amzing truffle rice stuffed roast chicken. Crispy skin, moist meat, and amazing truffle rice stuffing. Dessert was a strawberry, eton mess type thing with pop rocks, all for bargain HKD1188...for two !
Amazing flavor and amazing taste.

What a nice surprise. The set lunch was perfect. Four courses with unlimited great green tea. Three or four options for each course. I was hungry for salad and it was not only delicious but beautiful. Each course equally as good.

The lunch menu has already been set to avoid the nerve breaking. You can either go for Tempura, Sashimi sets. Even the place was busy when we were there but it didn't slow down the service at all.

With recommendation to visit this restaurant in Studio City, I have visited with friends for dinner. It is a well designed restaurant and offers a wide range of Jp foods including sushi, sashimi, tantura, tapanyaki and set. I have ordered raw fish collection and set of deep fired shrimp. Indeed, it is nicely presented but the taste or quality of ingredients are normal only.
