Someone told us about this place before we hit it, so we showed up to check if it worth it as much as they had told us and, know what? It was even better!
Even when we both really love the indonesian food, we could not resist as soon as we saw they had a lot of tipical Spanish delights, so we tried the Bravas (which I must say they came with the best homemade ali-oli sauce that I've ever tried before, not even in Spain - and yes... I'm Spaniard).
We also tried the freshly juiced Dragon fruit and the banana smoothie. Again, so nice to take them right in front of the sea in a very comfy and casual place with such a beautiful views that we had to visit them some more times while in Gili Air.
The cheerful native staff is always happy to help and they are also learning Spanish quite well due to the owners, cheff and other Spanish people who work along the Pura Vida.
One special mention to the cheff Noler's recipes: Give a try to his Tortilla Española or his grandma's secret recipe of the Croquetas de la mama. Delicious! Tasty! Unforgettable!! You won't regret.
The Pura Vida also has live music and open mic jams, wanna dance? ask them when its this happening, take your flip-flops off and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets ever while the r&b, hiphop, reagge, etc soaks the air.
Pura Vida really worths the visit.
