We had recently planned a trip to Lombok for 5 days and were told to include Gili Trawangan in our itinerary. So we managed to squeeze in 1 day to stay over in the island before heading out to Bali.

We had booked Villa Ombak first and one arrival, they gave us the option of upgrading our 2 rooms to a private villa in Ombak or choosing 2 upgraded rooms in Ombak Sunset. We decided to choosen Ombak Sunset for the quiet comfort that it offers and its access to the more beautiful north beach in Trawangan.

We sure did choose well, cause we sorely felt that just 1 day is not sufficient to fully enjoy the comfort at Ombak Sunset. Excellent rooms with great views of the beach and Swimming Pool area. Great breakfast and very understanding and helpful staff.
Their Spa has great packages for both men and women and do recommend a visit while staying there.

If there was one sore point, i think the dinner in the restaurant can be improved. However their morning breakfast spread was quite good.

I stayed here after New Year and got a great price for one of their garden villas. Everything was perfect, with a huge bedroom and a charming open-air bathroom! Beautiful grounds, immaculately kept and an enormous swimming pool. Their beachside facilities were lovely and the staff were admirable in thier professionalism and helpfulness.
I can't wait to go back there with my wife.

A rocky boat trip across to gili was forgotten once the horse dropped us at ombak sunset. A room upgrade, welcome drinks, and pleasant smiles from staff made the start of our 5 days memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, as are the ocean swings for sunset. A bit further from the main nightlife, but not a hassle to walk to/ from. The room was spacious and comfortable. The outdoor bathroom was an experience and quite enjoyable.
