My family and I chose this hotel due to the plethora of outstanding compliments paid to it via Trip Advisor. I must say that we were not disappointed! The praise given to Dimitri, Deena, Spiros, and not forgetting, Anastacia, is fully and wholeheartedly justified. Right from the start they were attentive and helpful to the extreme. That isn't to say that they are subserviant because they're not; they have a few rules which are in place to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of every one of the residents e.g not walking straight off the beach into the Hotel Foyer. It all just enhances the experience.

My wife has a real issue with the cleanliness of Hotel rooms, particularly their bathrooms, but even she was happy at the CGB. The rooms aren't the biggest but more than adequate, with the balcony's an excellent bonus.

In regard to the food, I eat a lot! but was never left hungry at any time of the day. It was varied and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The staff, from the bar to the restaurant, from morning 'till night, were excellent, always happy to chat whether on, or off, duty.

The pool is kept exceptionally clean, both the water and the poolside, mainly by a pool guy who arrives around 6pm each evening. Altenatively the beach is literally just across the road from the Hotel and is clean. The sea was mostly warm enough to swim in, even as far as swimming out to the paragliding pontoon in the bay, about half a mile away. There was a lifeguard on duty throughout the day and a safety flag flying. Watersports were available further down the beach although not too cheaply!

Evening entertainment was varied daily, with a combination of Dimitri and Spiros 'on the decks' in between. All tastes catered for, including requests, as well as the obligatory 'dance slot' where guests are actively encouraged to take part in 'group' dancing (Not my cup of tea but my wife and kids loved it!). It was also our eldest daughter's birthday while we were there and the Hotel provided a lovely chocolate cake, complete with sparklers, FOC!

Overall, an amazing holiday. It certainly isn't the cheapest hotel but the value for money and enjoyment far outweighs the cost. We met great people, who we've kept in touch with, and have already booked to return in August 08.

We just had a week at Costas Golden Beach with very very wet weather.
What could have been a disastrous week was simply fantastic! Dimitri, Dina, their family and all the other staff treated us all like extended family and NOTHING was too much trouble. There were hugs and kisses all round on arrival and departure, the rooms and buildings were pristine and although the pool was very cold at this time of year it is beautifully kept.

The food was always superb - different every day and was small dishes
that were refreshed every 15 mins or so. There is a hot & cold water fountain so you don't need to buy bottled water or take a kettle with
you. There are lots of things thrown in free of charge like safety deposit boxes, and as we were some of the last guests of the season we were allowed to keep our rooms till we left FOC.

I have never before stayed at a hotel where I felt just like I was at
home!

Well done to everyone who helped us enjoy our stay - you thought of everything and we WILL be coming back!!

We read reviews on this place lots of times before we went and we would like to add that if you want a relaxing holiday away from it all then this is the place to be the family that run the Hotel are brilliant and will try to do everything you ask them for, they even had a water filtration at the back of the bar louge so no one had to buy bottled water also air conditioning in your room and a safe behind reception all at no extra cost

There is only one thing that marred the hotel where ever you sat inthebar lounge , reception lounge or the dining room come entertainment room there was a big screen TV with nothing but sport on every day but if you like sport then this is the best hotel to go to

We booked our 7 day holiday at the Costas Beach Hotel due to the reviews on this site. I have to stay, the reviews are spot on. NEVER have we been made to feel more welcome. As soon as we stepped off the mini-bus we were greeted by Dimitri & his Son Spiros & all our luggage & our daughters buggy were whisked away to our room. We were taken around the hotel briefly & then showed to our room. It was spotless, had evrything we needed plus the added bonus of aircon & small TV. ALL the staff could not do enough for us. They fell in love with our daughter & bent over backwards. The Hotel is spotless, the food fantastic. The entertainment great. We are going back in May & my wife was genuinely upset when we had to leave. All the staff were so friendly which in turn rubs off on the guests. We were easily the youngest there (30 & 35 with A 2 yr old) but the other guests were great. Some of them even brought small gifts for our daughter who's birthday it was while we were out there. If you are thinking about going, just do it. You will not be disapointed

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in August.
Right from the start we loved our stay. We were greeted by the hotel owner Dimitri as soon as we stepped off the coach and we helped with our bags up to our room by his lovely daughter Anastacia.
We had a balcony facing the pool with superb views out to the beach.
Our room was equipped with air con, hairdryer and telly (2 music channels and news channels). Air con goes on at certain times of the day and you can pay 2euros a day to get it on a bit more if you are feeling heat!!
There is a water fountain outside the bar so you are free to top up your water bottles all day long, which is a bonus
Buffett menu was good, soup, salads, main course and puddings all provided. Breakfast is continental with the option of a full cooked breakfast for only 2.5 euros, bargain! Lunch menu is also available at good prices.
We cannot praise the staff enough especially our fave Cathy (who we miss loads :) and Dimitris son Spiros who is very cheeky but funny :)
Outside the hotel, there is supermarket called Tonys 30m to your right which is perfect for newspapers, snacks and wee pressies.
Tony told us he sells his own grapes which are grown on his property next door to the shop - excellent! Just down the road from Tonys is the Snack Shack which is perfect for lunch, good food at cheap prices. There are plenty of restaurants in the area although it is quiet at night with no rowdy bars. We are both in our mid 20's and were looking for a non-busy place and this was perfect!
There is a bowling alley just round the corner from Tonys which has 2 lanes, pool tables, bar and internet access all at good prices.
There is a bus service right outside the hotel which takes you to Corfu town, takes about an hour and only costs just over 3euros each way.
We cannot praise this hotel enough, the only thing i didnt really like was the coach trip from the airport. Its a wild ride through the winding hills and olive groves, the roads arent the best and it can get a bit scary. Our coach driver from the airport was extremely rude which wasnt the best start but as soon as we got off at the hotel, that was all forgotten due to the lovely welcome. Even the dogs Hooch and Corky come to greet you.
Overall, BOOK this hotel, we cannot recommend this enough!! We loved it and will go back at one point def!!
