We stayed at Hotel Sogno for a week in July. It was wonderful. The staff are attentive without being pushy. The location is lovely although maybe a bit noisy. However once in your room with door closed the noise of the beach bar next door and the yappy dogs on the other side are completely wiped out.
Our room had a pleasant balcony view over the lake. Lake side rooms are better.

We had our son's wedding reception meal here and the whole occasion was perfect. The service, food and setting was first class.

The venue was chosen for it's setting and what they offered, all of the guests were staying in the Gardone Riviera so if you plan to do the same thing, ensure that you have your transportation sorted as it can be a bit of a challenge getting taxis late at night!

We weren't staying at the hotel but turned up on spec on our last day in Lake Garda to see if we could have lunch at the restaurant. It was a little piece of heaven on the lake. The restaurant is next to the lakeshore and high white curtains provide a shelter should you ever need it, but all you really want to do is to gaze at the spectacular view while you wait for the equally spectacular food. Wisecracking waiters kicked things off in style by slicing off the neck of a bottle of prosecco with a lethally-sharp sword, and things just got better as the meal progressed. Marinated wild salmon with a dill sauce was followed by the most extraordinary tagliolini filled with purple potato and covered with shaved truffle. Desserts... well, no-one in Garda appears to know how to make creme brûlée but this was a valiant effort. Service was graceful and charming and pricing was intelligent — i.e.. not a rip-off. Really can't wait to go back.

I have stayed at many hotels, but Hotel Sogno has managed that rare feat of finding the right balance between efficient service and informal friendly guest relations. The staff are very attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is immaculate with staff ensuring that everything is pristine. A very well run and well managed hotel yet because it is family run you always feel welcome.

We experienced this hotel on an overcast day and a sunny day. Definitely a better hotel when sunny as you can eat outside next to the lake or sit by the pool. Food is nice. Has a 4* feel when you eat at restaurant on water. Rooms are spacious and a few overlook the water. Would recommend hotel but need a car to get around
