Two years ago we stayed in the Madalena enjoying one of the best views of Mykonos from our balcony.
This year we left our booking late and couldn't get a room for 5 in the Madalena so booked into Vista Apartments. Unfortunately Vista was terrible with Cockroaches all over the apartment. In desperation we went back to the Madalena who went out of their way to accommodate us, squeezing 5 into 4 bedroom room.
The apartment was still spacious with a fantastic balcony and view. Every morning the breakfast was fantastic with free transfers to the port and airport.
The value for money was great with only a short 5 minute walk into Mykonos Town centre.
Complete with it's only little pool I couldn't recommend a better hotel with great value for money within Mykonos, we look forward to returning back to Madalena next year!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.

i booked this hotel via agoda, and by the time i booked it, I left message about our ferry vessel and arrival time. but there was NO ONE there at the port to pick us up. as they emphasized that they provide free pickup service. after we arrived hotel on our own, i asked them about this, and the staff at the reception told me that they thought we took seajet instead of HIGHSPEED5, the correct one. i wonder why they kept saying that they thought we took seajet.
The penthouse room has strong paint smell...smells like it's painted only couple days ago.
also, no indoor slippers for us. and the air-condition downstairs did not work properly. so do the fridge in our room...the coffee pot was not washed at all...there was still some coffee left from previous travelers...so disgusting!!!
then, on our second night, the electricity went off without any notice...i wonder if this is normal because in my country, if the electricity company plans to fix or to stop providing the electricity in any cases, they need to inform us in advance. i wonder if the hotel knows in advance but not warning us...
every time we complain to the hotel, they just say "don't worry"
i heard some other travelers do the same thing and get the same reply...
so helpless...

We arrived at Mykonos Airport at 9.00am, to find a complementary transfer (pre arranged) ready and waiting to collect us.
Upon an early arrival at the hotel, the manager Madalena, was welcoming and very friendly. We were offered breakfast even though we had just arrived.

Most rooms have an ocean view, are very very clean with marble floors in the main room and bathroom.
Room 122 has air conditioning, very comfortable beds, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, bottle of water (renewed daily) safe, hanging area, hairdryer, complementary wifi and a buffet breakfast, which can be eaten on the terraces, while you gaze at the ocean.

All the staff are happy to do anything for you. All requests are met with a big smile and upon completion a you get a "your welcome", making the stay more like home than a hotel. This friendlessness is more evident, as we even chatted to Madalena for 2.5 hours one evening, until 12.45am.

The hotel is a short 250 meters or about a 5 minute walk to Mykonos City centre, where there is a vast number of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, churches and of course the docks, bay and ocean. The return walk up the gentle hill is easily completed at a stready pace.

A complementary shuttle bus, to and from the Mykonos airport is provided. Prior arrangement with the hotel is required.

I thoroughly recommend a stay at the Madalena Hotel, it has a good location, great ocean views, very accommodating staff and comfortable private rooms.

Room Tip: Not room 111, all others have balconies and lovely views

I stayed here based on the many good reviews and I was not disappointed. Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, outstanding staff. Complimentary port transfers went off without a hitch, excellent amenities a good free wifi. Although the walk back from town is uphill, it's a good walk and well worth it.

The staff are extremely welcoming and willing to help with any request. The breakfast was wonderful, with many options. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the views were incredible. It was close to town, and made for the perfect place to stay for the weekend. I would definitely stay there again.
