We spent a week in August with our 14 year old son. The rooms are nice and spacious with plenty of room for a family.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, clean and very well maintained.
The one thing that lets it down is the sunbed situation. There is a major shortage of parasols which are badly in need this time of year.. You have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a bed.This is not ideal on holiday. We found ourselves up earlier than what we are at home.
This could be resolved by the hotel investing in more sundeds and most of all parasols, especially this time of year when the weather is so hot.
The food is nice, drinks are ok. this is to be expected when the drinks are not named brands.
The location is a bit out the way, which is probably why there is a sunbed issue. There is a bus that goes into Las Americas if you want to get out of the hotel..
Its a matter of taste with this hotel. If you dont mind being out of the way and dont the beach this is for you. if your a beach person and likes to be close to the action then re think before you book. A man made beach would be perfect for this hotel'
The entertainment is poor and is mainly for younger children. This could be reviewed.
Overall we had a nice holiday but would only return out of season when its not to hot and you can find a sun bed.

Room Tip: Dont book the Fueventura block, this smell of sewarage. Siam Park is fab, a must visit.

Me and my boyfriend have just got back having spent 2 weeks at this stunning resort. We are a young couple myself 23 and my boyfriend 30 and then joined by parents the second week, so we didnt expect to enjoy the hotel as much as we did. The location was not a problem for us as it is a short taxi journey around the island and the scenary around the hotel was amazing. The hotel itself cannot be faulted one bit, every one likes to complain about something and we just couldnt. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us, the maid service was excellent everyday the room was cleaned to a high standard and left us always special things on the bed. Waiting staff were funny, courteous and always made sure we were happy. The food was the best we have experienced by far the best of the bahia chain we have previously visited, the choice was out of this world and the a la carte was brilliant (best steak i have ever had) The sunbed situation is bad but this is the case anywhere in all inc in august and it was quite funny going down in the dark to get the beds =) our rep kyle was brilliant and done great. We went to Siam park waterpark which was fun!! This hotel has everything you could ask for the food, room, staff and cleanliness. Ignore the bad reviews theres always one!!!

Room Tip: We emailed before hand as we could see the room layout on the website. We had room 2603 (brochure view)

Stayed here for ten days from the 16th August with our three children 16, 13 and 6. After spending many years going to the Seaview Country Club in Ibiza I was a bit wary but loved it. The grounds were lovely and the whole hotel was very clean. We thought the food was excellent too although didnt rate the Italian and Canarian A'la carte restaurants as much.
The animation team were excellent especially two of them in particular always full of energy.
The best bit about this hotel was the fact you can help yourself to drinks. The snack bar had self service coffee/tea/chocolate machine and also coke/fanta and sprite on tap and it was the same in the lobby bar. Also in there spirits were laid out and cocktails. I like the fact glasses were set out too which had been coated in sugar around the edges, made it a bit more special.
Three lovely pools, we spent all our time around the main one where the entertainment was such as water polo. The only negative about this was my 13 year old son was too young to join in with this as it was 16+. This pool was like a bath with lots of very shallow parts. The infinity pool was shut several times because of some selfish teenagers apparently using it as a toilet - disgusting.
One of the previous reviews states they had to go to the sister hotel for a courtesy room and it was just a shower block. We booked ours around 11.30am the day we left with no trouble and was given a proper hotel room in this hotel for an hours slot at 3pm as we had two rooms. Id previously emailed the hotel as i was concerned my two eldest children would be put in rooms separate to us but i was relieved so see they had been put next door and in interconnecting rooms. The courtesy room we were also given had this interconnecting door too so im not sure how many of these types of rooms they had.
Overall this was an excellent holiday and id go back maybe another year as it was isolated and it is nice to have somewhere to wander. Im really struggling to find something for next year that will beat this.

Just returned from a week all inclusive at the Bahia Principe, there was my husband and I, and four teenagers age 19, 17, 14 and 12. the first impressions on arriving at the hotel was that it had a grand entrance but was in the middle of nowhere at the bottom of a big hill. Luckily as we arrived during the evening, and before they shut the restaurant at 10 pm so where able to have an evening meal.
The next morning we went down and managed to get some sun loungers it was early, we did not risk not getting one after reading the reviews, however we soon realised later that they was a reason they where empty. Sometime just after 10am the Entertainment Team turned up and processed to play very loud music with the speakers directly towards our sun loungers, there was no avoiding it if you got sun loungers anywhere near their hut. On the following mornings my husband was up at 7 am to get loungers at the snack bar pool which is much quieter. But to stop our towels being removed we had to sit there till at least 8.15 am, otherwise the staff come and remove them, which following all the complaints I can understand them doing this.
My husband and I like to do some exercise while away and tend to opt for a hotel with a Gym, but we never used this one. Why! Well the limited opening times firstly, but also because the Treadmill was broken and the attendant in the gym advised the it had been broken for months and they are always coming tomorrow to fix it!!!! So we went running from the hotel, great if we could of got early but with having to sit on the sun lounger till 8.15am we got hammered by the heat generally, and the hills well massive!! Still a good challenge and lots of other people out there running.
So back to the hotel, it’s a climb where ever you go within this hotel, so not suitable with people who have poor mobility.
The all inclusive food supply is good in the restaurants, although felt the pool snack bar was limited, we have been to better all inclusive that offer good food outside of the restaurants. The staff are trying to be organised in the restaurants, but this can be a little annoying as you have to wait for them to serve your alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and this means if you want a second or third drink you are spending your mealtime trying to catch the staff’s eyes, and with 4 teenagers this got slightly tedious. It seems daft that you have to ask for your drinks in the restaurants yet can walk out into the massive lobby bar and help yourself. So alcohol, there are tables in the lobby bar with lots of a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, we never saw this abused while we where they, they also have a bar for selected drinks.
On our first day my husband went to book to go to the speciality restaurants and managed to booked two of the restaurants, but could not get booked into the Asia Restaurant it was fully booked for the following 6 nights!! To be honest the restaurants where a change of scenery but the food wasn’t much different as in the main restaurants, other than you selected your main course from a limited menu!
So to the final day, if you want to book the courtesy room you need to be at the reception just after 9 am to get a slot. Once you get your slot you are then told you have to go to the sister hotel to use the room, this is situated across the road up the hill, so off you trek to use it and then given directions that simply baffled us. In the end the security reluctantly showed us where to go, and what a little room it was, we had to go into the male shower area, very squashed and no lock on the door! As we where coming away from the room we discovered other people wandering around looking for the room!
One final thing, the 12 year old left a bag at the pool but did not realise till she was packing, so my husband asked at the reception, after no response we asked again when depositing our suitcases in the reception area as advised ready for the evening pick up. Anyway 30 minutes before pick up, we started to get ready for the bus and one of our cases was missing. My 19 year old son was so upset and we started asking people who where sat there if they had noticed anything, there was a queue at reception so my husband went over to ask them. To our surprise they had took the suitcase to get our attention and could return the bag we lost. As much as we appreciated getting the bag back, my 19 year old son was very upset by the hotel doing this.

Room Tip: We did not ask for any particular room and got a room at the back not a pool view, but a nice view out to sea and peaceful.

Ideal for families with children out of buggy with everyone asleep again 12. Not suitable for disabled / amble disabled as stairs, steps & steep gradient ramps everywhere. If particular about sunbed location an early rise is essential however with a little walk around your sure to find something. Booking restaurants is essential immediately but you won't be disappointed with buffet as it changes every meal. Free bus into Los Americas is a great service & will need to be booked the day before. €11.40 in a taxi otherwise ( to the harbour end of Los americas ) rooms cleaned daily with housekeeping calling back if unavailable. Sewers do tend to smell every now & again but hotel does best to mask this. Alcohol & cocktails all full strength :-) no watered down stuff. Staff are all
Lovely & great with children & tge animation team are a+ & non intrusive. There is a shortage or tables & chairs in the evening but everyone tends to share .. Long trousers are essential for men in the evenings but you will get away with a jersey etc. In the buffet. If you email in advance about special occasion cava etc. Will be in room.
