Cottage
Award winning self catering holiday cottage on a working sheep & beef farm near Malpas in beautiful South Cheshire, just 14 miles from historic Chester.
Drovers Barn was opened in December 2010. The farm is set amongst the beautiful valleys on the South Cheshire/Shropshire Borders, and the perfect peaceful retreat for those wishing to get away from it all. As Millmoor is a working sheep and beef farm, guests may help feed the calves, collect the hen's eggs for breakfast, bottle feed the baby lambs (seasonal) and visit the rare breeds of pigs. Families are welcome and we have a play area and ride on tractors for their pleasure. Coarse fishing is also available. There are several excellent local restaurants for dining out, the nearest being the Wheatsheaf Inn,...

Drovers Barn has been finished to a high Four Star and is perfect for families of up to 7 people. There are three bedrooms comprising of a triple, double and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The sitting room is located on the first floor so you can make the most of the fantastic views and the balcony. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect to find for an enjoyable and successful self catering holiday.
The cottages offer the perfect retreat for couples wishing to get away from it all and young families on holiday. We have designed two circular walks around the fields surrounding the cottages which have proved very popular.
The cottage sits at the entry to the farm and has ample parking in front for up to 3 cars. It is completely surrounded by farm life. There are Gloucester Old spot pigs yards away, baby lambs in the paddock surrounding the cottage in the spring months and baby calves just around the corner. 3 beautiful horses graze in a field just in front.

Fantastic farm experience!
We (Mum, Dad, Grandma, Grandad, 4year old Jamie and 2 year old Ellie) stayed in the Miller's House. The accomodation was superb, beautifully maintaned and very homely. Sally and Farmer Dave were so friendly and welcoming. The kids adored being able to run out in the morning and go out into the fields with Farmer Dave. They also liked visiting the pigs, cows, hens, sheep and horses every day. The playground equipment dotted about the farm was a much used bonus. Sam and Floss the sheepdogs were lovely and fun to play with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience!
Stayed second week of easter hols with my parents and 5 year old daughter. Fabulous experience on the farm as welcomed to help feed the lambs and pigs and collect the hens eggs. Great hosts, home baked cake upon arrival was a nice touch. Superb cottage which was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Would recommend Knowsley safari park, Chester zoo and Tatton Park. My daughter also enjoyed a visit to the local ice cream parlour which had a fantastic indoor playbarn perfect for a rainy day. The local candle factory where she got to make her own candle was a hit too. I mustn't forget sam the sheep dog, my daughter wanted to bring him home with us. I couldn't recommend the holiday enough.

fabulous accommodation, great hosts
We went here for a girlie reunion weekend. We took over all 3 cottages between 14 of us and had an amazing time. Sally is very welcoming and helpful and the cottages are beautifully maintained with good showers and well stocked kitchens. Couldn't fault it! We did both the circular walks on their property which were lovely and would be perfect for families with children as they aren't particularly strenuous but include crossing rivers, an old cattle arch and seeing lots of animals. Their free range eggs are not to be missed!
