I visited Mantra in end Oct 2012. This resort has a great website which builds a picture of a complete resort experience including a spa and aroma therapy, wellness/ yoga and other workshops, swimming pool, indoor games and outdoor games, open air barbeques and claims to be spread across a sprawling 25 acres.
However once you get there, other than the accommodation, and a basic restaurant, all other facilities are unavailable and under construction! The swimming pool looks completely different from the website and has no water. Besides, for 5 hours after checking in, the management didn't start the water in our bathroom either owing to the construction work going on there. I walked around the 'sprawling 25 acre property' in under 10 mins!
There's a factory next door, and the resort also hosts random parties and outside crowds come in and party late in the banquets.
With labourers walking up and down, dust, no sense of seclusion or tranquility as the website claims, the entire experience was a disappointment. Plus, after we complained about all these issues, the management gave us a measly 10% discount on our room! They were completely unapologetic. Highly not recommended, a total rip off.
Even after their construction is complete, I'd say don't ever visit Mantra because they take no responsibility for what they're selling.
