I was there for a camp and the resort had both nice hotel and apartment rooms.
Unfortunately the service is very bad. There are no passion from the staff working there. From the reception to the one in the coffee house.
The phone in my room was not working and the door lock was not working properly. Just to show that the housekeeping did not check and not bothered to get it fix. Request for fresh towels and toilet paper was not attended to the first time and I had to call them again for it. At least the staff that sent it up was apologetic and courteous.
The room is spacious with comfortable bed. Room comes with hair dryer, fridge, coffee, kettle and safe. There is no air Cond but 2 ceiling fans. However the weather is cool enough without an air condition. Just remember to draw the soft netting curtain to prevent insects from flying in.
Bath is a bit small but sufficient. Comes with bar of soap, shampoo, bath gel and lotion. No toothbrush and shaving kit.
The only coffee house available have horrendous food. Vegetables served were not fresh and replenishing were slow. Rice were bad in quality and variety were limited.

Booked 3 room apartment. All rooms are big. There is no any aircon but there are fans. It was fine because the weather was cold. They have 2 swimming pool. One at the reception block and another at the club house. The apartment was clean & nice. However, no cooking facility. They have kettle and fridge. The water heater wasn't working well but we managed it. To get food was very convenient since there were many restaurants, Starbucks & ATM counter in the closeby town (3 mins drive). They had free wifi but somehow couldn't use (damn slow!)

Room tip: Mountain view is beatiful

Having heard that the hotel had been renovated by Sime Darby, I was interested to try it out. The hotel block rooms have been tastefully renovated making the rooms pleasant, in stark contrast to the walkway to the rooms. Each room consists of a balcony, followed by a living area with armchairs and a settee, bed area and a small bathroom enough for one person at a time.

Similar to other highland hotels, the rooms are not air-conditioned but are fitted with ceiling fans which provide a feel of bearable temperature during the day. As GRV is merely 8 minutes drive from the Karak Highway, it is not as cool as the mountain top area but still provided a pleasant temperature for walks especially in the mornings and evenings.

We were there on a weekday and with the outdoor amusements at the mountain top being closed till 2017, we were the only two guests at the hotel that day. Thus a buffet breakfast was not served but we had the choice of an American or Malaysian breakfast. The American breakfast was acceptable.

Stay here for team building. Booked 2d1n apartments with meeting room rental, team building, camp fire and 5meals. No pillow case, toilet roll and towel in hotel, and light spoilt in toilet. Request for the things missed around 4pm,being told that the laundry is not ready yet for the pillow case and towel. Stains and hairs on pillow, bedsheet quilt. The worst things is about the management(a staff called Azhar). He is the person that liaise with us on our booking. Meeting held on 9.30am, but he never update hotel on our backdrop wording request and the serving time of the morning tea. Lunch is. 5/6 Malay dish with fruits and syrup, but the contract mentioned BUFFET(with a detail list of the foods provided, the list show salad, dish, fruits, desserts and drinks). They mentioned that no buffet lunch is provided due to too less participants, but charge us buffet price. After lunch, we are expecting our team building activity in the afternoon and fire camp at night (as discussed with Azhar earlier),but nothing had been performed. He mentioned that we not confirm with him (but we confirmed) and therefore no team building conductor nor fire camp available. Further more, it is a rainy day, and we can't perform the team building activity at the originally destinated outdoor place. As discussed earlier, he mentioned that we can perform team building activity indoor (evening&knight) if rain, but now he said that the indoor room had been fully booked. So we could only perform it in the meeting room that we used in the morning, or club house, which contain table tennis, swimming pool, etc. On the second day morning, we planned to play table tennis there, but no table tennis pats available, after we requested. The club house is not well maintained.
Overall, strongly not recommended to perform team building activity for this so called "3star resort" (should be much more lower) unless you want to get cheated or regret.

I went there with my family and the place is absolutely magical. The location of Genting Highlands is beautiful and so is the resort. It overlooks the amusement park which is great by itself. Recommended
