Arrived for one night having booked a standard double to find we had been upgraded to Firs suite as it was vacant - this was a welcome and very nice touch! Excellent room with huge bed, nice quality bed linen, plenty of towels, lounge area, two T.V's, huge bathroom with plenty of hot water and equally huge bath, plus separate shower. Staff all really welcoming, ate steak meal in the bar and it was good value, and breakfast was good too. Nice setting, convenient stop off if travelling to Cornwall, but equally would be a really nice base for a holiday in Devon. Taking my golf clubs next time - course looks well kept and there is a driving range and a good little pro shop. All round good stay, i can recommend. Room was spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the place.

I have just taken a society of 27 to Fingle Glen for a weekend break and we had a great time. I read reviews before going and many people do seem hard to please judging by some of the points raised. The accommodation was spot on and the course was in great shape and challenging. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, even to the point of catering for specific alcohol supply. This is the second time I have brought our society to Fingle Glen and both occasions have been very successful. Customers' expectations differ depending on the type of holiday/stay/break they are having but I have no hesitation in recommending Fingle Glen for a golf break. I am already looking forward to taking our society back there in a few years time.

Stayed in Firs Suite, large clean with very comfy bed, large clean bathroom. Didn't eat at hotel so cannot comment on that, easy to find and lots of free parking.

Fingle Glen golf hotel is in a great location with beautiful surroundings. We stayed in a log cabin and it was spotless, had all the facilities for a relaxing break away including a great view of the golf course. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfasts in the clubhouse the staff were really helpful and friendly. The clubhouse is currently undergoing refurbishment and is looking really good inside and out. I look forward to going back and seeing it finished. I would definitely recommend Fingle Glen to golfers or anyone looking for a enjoyable break away.

Myself and my partner stayed for a long weekend in february and it was just fantastic. We checked in smoothly and the lady behind the desk couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The lodges are amazing, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, it was the perfect base to relax in. The Hot tub has its water changed for every visitor which means it reaches perfect temperature ate 6pm on the first night but then stays hot from then on in. I cangt explain how big it is! A lot of time was spent there, it was just gorgeous.

Food at the hotel was inexpensive and good quality. On our first night the restaurant was going through a refurb but they set up a table just for us upstairs and still brought hot food and drinks. Excellent service and made you feel special from the moment you stepped inside.

We are not golfers but the area was beautiful, a great place to go for long walks, or short ones! We drove into the village of Tedburn St Mary (not really walking distance, especially at night) and took advantage of the live sky sports at the Kings head pub! The food once again was excellent, although more pricey than at the hotel. There isnt an awful lot else arounf the village, but there is a tiny post office which stocks a large range if competitively priced food and drinks, worth visiting.

Being literally just off of the main A road (we thought the sat nav must be mistaken!) It was so easy to nip to other places for the day. We took advantage and travelled to Paignton Zoo which I would highly recommend. Easy journey and took roughly 40 minutes. Despite the hotel location, it still felt that you were deep in the country and there was no traffic noise at all.

To summarise, a perfect break in a freindly area, we are already planning to return in October. Thank you Hoseasons, and all at the Fingle Glen hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed at 'Postbridge' lodge, only two more lodges were after ours when you drive down th...
